    Frame Three: Trump 1-1 Robertson

That's lovely from the Thunder...aka Neil Robertson.

The Australian wafts a long red into the bottom right corner after a foul a couple of shots back. But then a couple of shots later he's out of position.

He's going to get another go mind after Judd Trump's attempted safety catches the left middle knuckle. Now how many points can he put on the board at this visit?

The first two frames of this final, they have made more mistakes than the quarters and semi-finals put together.

You go into the match with expectations of a bombardment of scoring, next minute the wheels fall off and then it goes tense.

Herein lies the skill factor, once you get the first chance you have to make it tell but both players have lost position more than we expect them to.

The bookmakers were saying there will be at least five centuries in the final, it does not look like it at the moment.

It's very nervous. We were expecting a barrage of unbelievable long pots and big breaks. It has been a very protracted start. They are looking edgy and it shows what it means.

The green that Neil missed, from a chance he was never going to get, he knocks in nine times out of ten. I don't think Judd could quite believe it.

  4. Trump levels the matchpublished at 14:00 Greenwich Mean Time 6 December 2020

    Frame Two: Trump 1-1 Robertson

Neil's had one there. His attempt to get the yellow safe leaves it right over the bottom left bag.

He'll be needing snookers. Strike that one out. Judd goes in off and finally gets the job done after Neil misses the green into the bottom right.

Can only be pressure/nerves. Not sure either can quite believe how that frame went.

    Frame Two: Trump 0-1 Robertson

We're down to the colours after JT plays a glorious shot from brown to yellow.

Normally he knocks these in 100/100. Today he gets a heavy contact. Not often you don't see those drop in any match involving a pro.

This frame is still in the melting pot although Trump has a 58-32 lead.

    Frame Two: Trump 0-1 Robertson

That's unlucky from Neil who falls short with a cocked hat double into the middle.

JT plays a sensational double into the top right. But this is far from over.

    Frame Two: Trump 0-1 Robertson

Careless from Judd Trump who overruns the white after dispatching the black in to the bottom left corner.

It leaves him with a tricky cut which he misses. Break of 45 over.

Neil's in again with an easy starter can he snaffle another frame?

Bob: Hoping for a Robertson win. He deserved to win another Triple Crown event and has displayed excellent form this fortnight.

Surely not. Neil Robertson takes on a long red to the bottom left playing dead weight to hold for the black.

But he sees the red rattle in the jaws. Chance for Judd Trump, who has already knocked in a longish red, to get in among the balls.

It would have been a good steal for Judd Trump. He overcut the blue and it cost him the frame.

A nervy start from both players.

Neil Robertson had a chance very early onto open up the pack of reds but he let the cueball run when playing a delicate shot.

Trump missed a significant blue towards the end.

If you go into a final thinking you are playing well and then don't get the shots, it can unravel for you.

Neil will be buoyed that although he was not at his absolute best, he managed to nick the first frame.

  13. Robertson takes the first framepublished at 13:37 Greenwich Mean Time 6 December 2020

    Frame One: Trump 0-1 Robertson

Crikey I wasn't expecting that. Judd Trump goes slightly awry with position and misses the blue into the left middle.

Neil Robertson is straight out of his chair to tidy up and take the first frame.

End of break for JT on 17. Nineteen plays 41 almost 20 minutes in.

Both averaging over 30 seconds a shot early doors.

    Frame One: Trump 0-0 Robertson

Neil Robertson knocks in a red and green but no dice when it comes to position.

A couple of plants get Judd Trump up and running. The second one absolutely drilled down the left cushion.

Looking in good shape to rack up a few points here albeit the black and pink down near the bottom cushion, could come to Neil's rescue.

    Frame One: Trump 0-0 Robertson

Neil Robertson gets up to 37 but then breaks down on a red into the bottom left corner.

How will Judd Trump respond? By knocking in a mid range red...but he gets a little unlucky cannoning the black and leaving himself without a colour.

He'll have to play up to baulk.

  19. 'Trump is the man in form'published at 13:17 Greenwich Mean Time 6 December 2020

    Steve Davis
Six-time world champion on BBC Two

Two of the top four players in the world. It's not always easy to get to finals.

Judd Trump is the man in form as he showed against Ronnie O'Sullivan at the Northern Ireland Open but he is up against the severe test of Neil Robertson.

  20. Postpublished at 13:15 Greenwich Mean Time 6 December 2020

    Frame One: Trump 0-0 Robertson

A bit of early safety from both players and then Neil Robertson plays an absolute corker of a safety to tuck Judd Trump in behind the green.

There's literally no safety on so Trump just smashes the white round the angles hoping for a touch of fortune.

None is incoming. A good chance for Robertson to get his cue arm going.
