It is the ultimate respect for each other, Neil Robertson had a chance early in the frame but for all the opportunistic shots they played, wen it comes to the final part of the frame, the tactics are crucial.
Judd has locked up shop very well when he has needed to. He is 100% in long pot success but turned down shots when needed to as well.

John Parrott
1991 world champion on BBC Two
It was very similar to the opening session. The only bad thing about that is when you come out the wrong end of it. Neil Robertson has put a lot of work in for nothing.
Frame Nine: Trump 5-4 Robertson
Now then a chance for Neil in the top right corner.....Ohhhh.
It rattles both jaws and stays up. And he's left it. Judd mops up. The first frame this evening is over after 41 minutes.
Frame Nine: Trump 4-4 Robertson
Judd Trump finally clips the blue. He's left it but it's a toughie for Neil Robertson who watches his attempted cut rattle the jaws.
Now what's coming next. A snooker from Judd Trump. What. A. Shot. White in behind the pink.
Neil can't it at the first time of asking but manages it on take two. The blue is safe. The score is 60-60. A marathon frame of 40 minutes goes on.
Frame Nine: Trump 4-4 Robertson
Hello. Neil Robertson has got a full ball snooker. With the blue hidden behind the black on the bottom cushion.
JT plays off the side cushion but slides by. That's five points back for the Australian.
And another five. And again. How many times is Judd Trump going to miss this? His opponent now has a five-point lead.

Ken Doherty
1997 world champion on BBC Two
Both players are trying to force a mistake from their opponent. It's like a game of chess.
I do love these frames. There's nothing like a bit of tension and drama. It's gripping stuff.
Frame Nine: Trump 4-4 Robertson
Does anyone want to win this frame. Judd Trump is 17 ahead with 25 remaining but he can't snick the green into the top right corner.
Neil Robertson has a dig at the same pocket. Same result.
Now the Australian gets another go and this time sees it drop before dispatching the brown into the middle. The blue is not going to go from there mind.
This could end up going beyond 30 minutes.
Frame Nine: Trump 4-4 Robertson
This first frame this evening is all a bit nervy and edgy. Neither player has got going yet.
Trump has a 10-point lead at present and is having the best of it as he puts his opponent in a snooker. It's a decent escape from Neil Robertson, played with pace and flicking the left of the red on the bottom cushion.
But he's left it.

Alan McManus
Former Masters champion on BBC Two
Maybe it's just a case of him feeling his timing is just a little off so, on balance, if in doubt drop out of it and play the safety. That's not a bad choice.
Frame Nine: Trump 4-4 Robertson
Judd Trump's long pot success is at 100% as he lines one up to the bottom left.
And in goes another 10/10 for the Englishman so far.
You could see him working the scoreboard from here. As it is he makes 32 before losing position. Will he get another go here. Neil Robertson has left him with a mid-long red.
No he refuses it.
Frame Nine: Trump 4-4 Robertson
A cracking safety from Neil Robertson leaves Judd Trump needing to come of the bottom cushion to nestle into the pack.
But that's a a bit wayward from JT. The Australian will get another chance to amass some points.
He makes 23 and then sees his break come to another weird conclusion clipping the pink and knocking it into the right middle. The snooker gods have not been kind to Robertson so far in this frame.

Neil had played a cracking pot on the black but it is to no avail.
Frame Nine: Trump 4-4 Robertson
Would you believe it? Neil Robertson gets to 15 then sees his white drift into the middle left pocket after burying a red into the bottom right corner.
He'd been looking good there. Looks like a bout of safety on the way.
Frame Nine: Trump 4-4 Robertson
An early mistake from Neil Robertson who catches a red thick trying to navigate back to baulk.
Judd Trump can't capitalise though. He makes three before skewing a red wide of the bottom left bag. Robertson back at the table and in the balls.
Right here we go. The players are on their way out.
This should be a cracker.
Alan McManus and Ken Doherty on the comms.

Trump 4-4 Robertson
Of course he has to get past this chap to do it.
World number one Judd Trump is aiming for his second UK Championship crown and his first since 2011.
That seems like quite a long time between drinks at this tournament especially considering he is hoping to pick up his 20th career ranking title and third of the season, having already captured the English Open and Northern Ireland Open.
Oh and did I mention he's won his last 15 matches and has a 100% record in final-frame deciders this season.
They don't call him the Juddernaut for nowt.
