"I'm very proud because this is the sixth time he's come to the Crucible and always knocked out in the first five - so very happy he's got through to the final.

"It's a nice moment for the family and fans in Belgium and Europe.

"Everybody in Belgium is following him and I hope it will change [get more people to play] in Belgium and in Europe - he's the ambassador, which is very nice.

"We hope that he can go all the way - we will see because Mark Selby is a very tough player but we hope Luca wins it."
