    The final contenders will be revealed on tonight's show for the first time in the 65-year history of the programme.

    Gary Lineker, Clare Balding and Gabby Logan will present the show - live from Birmingham's Genting Arena - and there will be eight awards given out, as well as recognition for this year's Young Sports Personality of the Year that was announced in October.
