A very good rendition of "You'll Never Walk Alone" being played in the background.
Onions everywhere tonight!
Captaining the champions. Not a bad year.
His boss Jurgen Klopp explains how boss he is in this VT now.
Footballer Jordan Henderson captained runaway leaders Liverpool to their first league title since 1990, by a margin of 18 points, a year after lifting the Champions League trophy.
The Sunderland-born midfielder, who has been capped 58 times by England, was also named the Football Writers' men's player of the year.
A short tribute to Gerard Houllier - the former Liverpool manager who sadly passed away this month. A legend of the club and the city.
It brings in our next contender very nicely...
Captain Tom Young Unsung Hero
Nine-year-old Tobias Weller was inspired by Captain Tom Moore to walk a marathon and said it felt "magnificent" to have completed his challenge.
Weller uses a walking frame as he has cerebral palsy and was only managing about 50m a day before lockdown began.
Well-wishers outside his home in Sheffield cheered him on as he completed his challenge of walking 26.2 miles (42km) over 70 days up and down the street.
His mum, Ruth Garbutt said she was "bursting with pride".
Someone's cutting onions.
Captain Tom Young Unsung Hero
In August, nine-year-old Tobias Weller with cerebral palsy and autism, raised more than £137,000 by walking two marathons.
Weller, known as Captain Tobias, used a walker to cover the 52 miles (84km) on the street where he lives in Sheffield.
The money was shared between Sheffield Children's Hospital and the Paces special school that Tobias attends.
He finished his challenge accompanied by Olympic champion Jessica Ennis-Hill and Tobias was joined by hundreds of cheering supporters as he completed the last stage.
The Unsung Hero award, presented to someone who has gone to exceptional length to be a positive sporting force within their community, is always a highlight of tonight's show.
However, this year, for the first time, there will be a Captain Tom Young Unsung Hero winner, presented to a young person who has kept others active or raised money for good causes through physical activity this year.
You can read all about the five nominees for the first ever Captain Tom Young Unsung Hero award HERE.
"This is a magnificent award," says Captain Tom.
He is also told that a new award has been named after him...
Helen Rollason award
Captain Tom Moore rose to prominence during lockdown when he raised £39m for the National Health Service by walking laps of his garden.
He achieved the feat as he approached his 100th birthday, and has since been labelled a "national treasure".
Captain Tom received a knighthood from the Queen in his own personal ceremony earlier this year.
Dame Jessica Ennis-Hill is now on our screens, delivering the special Helen Rollason award to my favourite man Captain Tom Moore.
This section of the show celebrates those who went above and beyond during the pandemic, including NHS workers and those who raised money for charity.
Among those in the VT are:
Junior doctor and Paralympic table tennis star Kim Daybell put his Tokyo training on hold to work full time at Whittington Hospital in London.
Olympic silver medal winning rower Polly Swann also worked throughout lockdown as a junior doctor in Edinburgh, combining shifts with indoor training
90-year-old Margaret Payne climbed the equivalent of Scotland's Mount Suilven by going 2,400 feet up and down her stairs and raised 435 thousand pounds!
And Dabirul Islam Choudhury raised over £220,000 after walking 100 laps of his garden during Ramadan. All money raised to help those affected by Covid-19.

Hollie Doyle speaking to BBC One: "Just believe in yourself, keep your head down and work really hard and just keep going.
"I'm a horse lover - I love the bond between horse and rider and it's something that gets me out of bed every day, the love of horses. Being brought up around them is a huge bonus, I can't get enough of them!
"I know this year's been incredible but I don't want this to be my best year. I want bigger and better things - any sportsperson who gets a taste of success wants more so I want to keep the revs up and keep ploughing on."

Jockey AP McCoy on Hollie Doyle: "Hollie's a worker, she's a grafter she puts in the hard hours which it's all about to try and get to the top. Her stats are phenomenal, she's top class, she's got it all. Having watched her for the last year there is a realistic chance she could be a Champion jockey."
Not bad, eh? She's on stage now to have a chat with Clare Balding and Alex Scott.
Time for our second Sports Personality of the Year nominee...
Jockey Hollie Doyle broke her own record for the number of winners ridden by a British woman in a year, rode a historic double on British Champions Day, became the first woman to ride five winners on the same card and claimed her first victory at Royal Ascot.
She was also named Sunday Times Sportswoman of the Year.
