The rain is really coming down now at Wimbledon with people braving the weather in bin bag-style rain coats on the hill or huddling under umbrellas on one of the outside courts.

With no play possible, BBC Two are re-running the "When Andy Won Wimbledon" documentary, with Murray and girlfriend Kim Sears watching people's recollections of that day when millions were glued to their screens on the hottest day of the year in 2013.

It's also available on iPlayer for two more days.

  2. Murray's backhand analysispublished at 11:37 British Summer Time 28 June 2014

"Murray's backhand was one of the strongest parts of an all-round great performance against Bautista Agut. As the graphic illustrates he varied his backhand direction to great effect with 43% of his backhands landed within two metres of the baseline.

"That was a great tactic to force his opponent back deep, allowing himself to move forward and dominate the rally. Not only did he vary his direction, he hit 58% of his backhands with topspin and 42% with slice. With such variation his opponents struggle to anticipate just where that ball will finish once they go to that side."

Defending champion Andy Murray was in supreme form on Friday night, sweeping past Spain's Roberto Bautista Agut to reach the second week of Wimbledon without dropping a set.

The 27-year-old will play 20th seed Kevin Anderson in the last 16 on Monday as he bids to extend his 16-match winning streak. Read the report and watch highlights of the match here.

  4. Start of play delayedpublished at 11:28 British Summer Time 28 June 2014

I'm sorry to say that it's started to rain again and the covers have been dragged back over the outside courts to protect the surface. As a result, the start of play will be delayed. I'd suggest putting the kettle on. It's going to be a long, long day.

  5. One to watchpublished at 11:24 British Summer Time 28 June 2014

    Nick Kyrgios

Australian teenager Nick Kyrgios, described as the "future of tennis" by former Wimbledon champion Pat Cash, bids to reach the fourth round on his debut when he takes on Czech wildcard Jiri Vesely on court 17 at 11:30 BST.

The 19-year-old saved nine match points - a record for the men's draw - as he beat 13th seed Richard Gasquet in five sets on Thursday.

The world number 144, who won the 2013 Australian Open junior title, has a chance to set up a potential last-16 meeting with Nadal, whose form has been less than impressive so far in the tournament.

Good news! The rain has stopped and the courts are being prepared for the start of play, which is still expected to be 11:30 BST. However, the venue announcer warns that more rain is expected throughout the day. That was supposed to be the case yesterday and it turned into a glorious day, so who knows what will happen on day six.

Play is scheduled to start at 11:30 BST on the outside courts and 13:00 on Centre and Court One. Coverage on BBC Two has started with Sue Barker, Mark Petchey and Tracy Austin are in the studio.

There's been no official word that there will be a delay, but judging by the conditions, a prompt start on the outside courts is looking unlikely at the moment.

    Centre Court

If you've got a ticket to Centre Court, you'll be dry today as the roof is already on. The court attendants have finished repainting the lines and using a brush to pick up any loose bits of grass after a morning trim.

Morning all and a very warm welcome to day six of Wimbledon 2014. I say warm, but it's anything but at the All England Club in southwest London right now. The early morning sun has disappeared and it's now raining, albeit lightly, just as the announcer declares the gates to the ground open.
