Good news from outside the cosy confines of Centre Court. Turquoise tarpaulin is being peeled back to reveal emerald turf.
Play may not be far away, although there will be a fair bit of stretching and knocking-up to be done.
Martina Navratilova

"Bouchard takes the ball really early and stands inside the court. When I played players who stood in I found myself hitting short because I used them to judge the length of the court. It was the same with the serve, so I had to adjust my eyeline and focus on lines and not where my opponent was standing."
With Serena Williams and Li Na packing their bags before the second week, this is the first time in the open era the top two women's seeds have lost before the round of 16 at Wimbledon. Simona Halep, who lost to Maria Sharapova in the French Open final, is now the highest remaining seed in the women's draw at the number three.

Laura Robson: I have the same meal every day during a tournament as I don't want to risk an upset stomach - Chicken and rice #boring
Hamez Earl: Which tennis player had you always looked up to as an idol?
Laura Robson: Steffi Graf - She dominated her sport so much and was so consistent and professional. I wish I could have a slice like her.
The Duke of Kent takes evasive action as Bouchard wallops a dead ball into the Royal Box. Crikey, that was close. The Canadian then heads to her chair after failing to make any impact on the Cornet serve. She'll soon serve to stay in the set.
Number 10 seed Kei Nishikori, external who beat Simone Bolelli to set up a last 16 match with Milos Raonic on Twitter: VERY happy with my win today! Went straight to practice after. Get ready for next match.

"It would seem that the main things to do to pass the time whilst rain falls are eat and shop. Stalls selling pizza, sausages and, of course, strawberries are doing roaring trade, while the merchandise shop under Centre Court has patrons queuing out of the door. On upper levels, those who pre-booked ahead are sitting smugly at their tables."
Cornet carves out an opening at 0-30, sending a forehand, laced with topspin into the corner. Bouchard recovers, taking advantage of the shorter ball, but Cornet brings up her third break point of the match in the next. A couple of deuces follow before Bouchard holds. This set has tie-break written all over it.
349,000-odd followers on Twitter, 240,544 Facebook likes, Laura Robson is a pretty big noise in this social-media friend game.
The British number two is not going to let the wrist injury that put paid to her chances of competing at Wimbledon stop her tapping away either.

Bouchard is spraying balls all over the place, with most of them ending up out of court. That allows Cornet to race through her service game to love in under 90 seconds.

"Put simply, it's hammering down. Every doorway, parasol and food stand is being used as shelter, patrons huddling as a weather update comes over the PA. 'The Met Office advises the current band of rain will last for 30 minutes'. An annoyed woman in bright orange is consoled by her partner. 'There's blue sky over there, it will stop soon'. I've been is his position before."
Cornet is struggling to get the depth on her groundstrokes, allowing Bouchard to dominate the rallies. Bouchard holds and we stay on serve.
John McEnroe
Three-time Wimbledon singles champion on BBC TV
"Bouchard was my pick to win the tournament anyway. It did get a bit easier with Serena going out, but Cornet is still tricky opposition."
We're back under way on Centre, Eugenie Bouchard to serve at 3-2 down.
Ruairi in Cranbrook, via text: "It's almost as if Isner makes no attempt to break serve, he seems to always win sets via a tie break."
South African Kevin Anderson, Andy Murray's opponent on Centre Court later today, has been speaking to BBC TV:
"I'm sure there'll be a great atmosphere, the better the atmosphere the more fun it is. I'm going to stick to my best game, I'm playing a very good opponent but I'm going to stick to how I've been playing in the week so far."
Just a few more serves for each player in the warm up and we should be back under way on Centre Court. Andy Murray v Kevin Anderson will follow this match, with an estimated start time of 15:30 BST.

"Chance of a shower, but mainly dry." I would say that the BBC weather forecast for today at Wimbledon has under-clubbed it a little.
While the Centre Court patrons settle back into their seats, those on uncovered courts are looking at inflated plastic covers and erected protective tents. Those only get deployed when the rain is well set in.
