British Davis Cup captain Leon Smith on BBC Radio 5 live: "There is no doubt Raonic will be feeling pressure too, this is a massive chance for him here. It is a great time for Canadian tennis right now, especially at this tournament with Eugenie Bouchard already through."

Milos Raonic is wearing a short-sleeved white polo, but his right arm is entirely covered by some sort of baselayer. You know those tattoo sleeves that some inexplicably wear? It's like that, only white. He and Kyrgios continue to batter serves at each other, 3-3 in the fourth.

"He is coming through and improving gradually and doing it on all surfaces and I think Raonic is ready to win a big one. He has all parts of his game in order."

  6. Wawrinka news conferencepublished at 19:22 British Summer Time 2 July 2014

Stan Wawrinka after losing to Roger Federer in four sets: "It was a really good fight for me, I gave everything on the court. It's been a good tournament for me.

"Roger can win it. Whenever he gets to the semi of a Grand Slam then he's ready to win. You always see the crowd behind Roger, but it was a great atmosphere."

You know how we said the doubles net was being erected on Centre? It's being used by Jeremy Bates and his partner Anders Jarryd in the invitational doubles against Sergio Casal and Joakim Nystrom.

Bates, now 52, was my earliest memory of a Briton trying to make a mark at Wimbledon. He always seemed to get beaten by Guy Forget.

I fancied my chances in the invitational doubles until I saw the serves. These lads have still got it. Bates and Jarryd a set and a break up.

  8. Postpublished at 19:14 British Summer Time 2 July 2014

    Richard Krajicek
1996 Wimbledon champion on BBC Radio 5 live

"Kyrgios needs to stop this now and focus or he will be handing the first break on the fourth set to Raonic. I wouldn't be surprised now if he came out and lost this game."

  9. Postpublished at 19:13 British Summer Time 2 July 2014

    John Lloyd
Former British number one on BBC TV

"I'm not going to count Kyrgios out but I will be surprised if Raonic doesn't now go on and win. But Kyrgios is a shotmaker and keeps surprising everybody here."

  10. GAME AND THIRD SETpublished at 19:13 British Summer Time 2 July 2014

Five-four up, balls rolling back up your end, this is Milos Raonic country.

The Canadian loads up his pockets and cracks down four meteor serves. Love hold and the third set is his.

Nick Kyrgios questions the final ace, which was upheld on Hawk-Eye. I'm not sure quite what his complaint is, but he was not getting anywhere near it.

  11. Djokovic news conferencepublished at 19:10 British Summer Time 2 July 2014

Djokovic on Murray and Nadal going out: "It doesn't affect me at all because I try to focus on my own matches. They are the only things I can influence. You always expect the top guys to reach the finals and when it doesn't happen it's been a surprise. But, it shows you can't underestimate any opponent and new young players are beating the best. These guys deserve to be where they are now."

  12. Postpublished at 19:03 British Summer Time 2 July 2014

Novak Djokovic on the noise from the Hill during Andy Murray's matches: "I think both of us thought it was too much, but it is what it is. When Andy is playing, the crowd gets in to it.

"I said to the chair umpire, 'let's just put it on the big screen and watch it until it's done'.

    Andy Murray

The last time, before today, that we saw Andy Murray beaten at Wimbledon, it was after defeat to Roger Federer in the 2012 final, a result that left him devastated.

This time he leaves disappointed, but philosophical. You can see his post-match reaction here.

There is something quite encouraging about that isn't there?

    Andrew Castle
Former British number one on BBC TV

"Raonic is showing impressive composure and since Ivan Ljubic was brought on board a year ago they have developed a good unit and we are seeing the results of the work. He has dropped 7kg and is on a gluten free diet and his service motion is something to behold."

  15. Raonic breakspublished at 18:55 British Summer Time 2 July 2014

This match is rocking and rolling like a row boat round Cape Horn. Milos Raonic clings on to his own serve under heavy pressure and even heavier hitting from Nick Kyrgios.

The tables turn and Raonic breaks to love. These two were supposed to be untouchable off the tee.

  16. Postpublished at 18:49 British Summer Time 2 July 2014

We may be in for a long night on Court One. Nick Kyrgios breaks Milos Raonic early in the third to screams of approval, but Raonic takes advantage of some Australian fatigue to hit straight back. Back on serve.

Well, there was one stage earlier that suggested we may have a Weird Wednesday on our hands. Both Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic were struggling, all after the seismic shock of Andy Murray going out.

Federer and Djokovic survived, leaving us to pick through the bones of the defending champion's exit. Sam Sheringham has been rounding up the views of the experts, with Jimmy Connors suggesting that Murray still has "years" left at the top. Have a read of that here, while you can also watch highlights of Murray's defeat by Grigor Dimitrov.

"Kyrgios looked a bit mentally tired in losing his serve and we will have to see whether he can regroup again in the third set."

  19. GAME AND SECOND SETpublished at 18:41 British Summer Time 2 July 2014

Milos Raonic, the prefect quiff of an extra from Grease, has hit back after losing that first set on a tie-break. He's taken four games on the spin to win the second set, including one service game in only a minute and six seconds. Kyrgios is under the pump.
