The BBC forecast for Paris today

And, if the Paris weather report is to be believed, today could be stretched out even longer. The possibility of thunderstorms hovers over the French capital like a bad smell.

After a settled fortnight that has seen one significant rain delay, today looks far more unpredictable. A temperature of 32C is forecast, with scattered thunderstorms expected from mid-afternoon.

"If it does get up to that temperature, it will obviously make it tougher physically and it will change the way that the court plays," said Andy Murray.

"It obviously makes it quicker. That's a very, very significant difference to the beginning of the tournament. We were playing in 14, 15 degrees."

So here's the plan. First up on Court Philippe Chatrier at 12:00 BST is:

    8 Stan Wawrinka (Sui) v 14 Jo-Wilfried Tsonga (Fra)

And whenever that hors d'oeuvres of a match finishes (both of their previous meetings at Roland Garros went to five sets), leave plenty of room in your tennis-shaped stomach for this delicious main course....

1 Novak Djokovic (Srb) v 3 Andy Murray (GB)

What a day to be alive.....

Bonjour mes amis! Anyone know what day it is? Nope, it isn't just plain old Friday. Today is its hipper, more attractive cousin - say ooh la la to French Open Semi-Final Friday.

Whatever plans you have for the rest of the day, I'd respectfully suggest, to cancel them. So scarper early from the office, sneakily peek at your mobiles during lessons/lectures and ask your mum to pick up the kids from school - today is not a day to worry about everyday life.

We have a crackerjack of a day ahead. Either Andy Murray or Novak Djokovic, along with one of Stan Wawrinka and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, will be celebrating later at booking their spot in the French Open men's singles final. But who will it be?

Clockwise from top left: Jo Wilfried Tsonga, Stan Wawrinka, Andy Murray and Novak Djokovic

Waking up on a Sunday morning usually leads to a few instant thoughts as your sleepy mind adjusts to a state of consciousness. Shall I nip out for a fry up? Do I have to spend my day off being dragged to a Swedish furniture store? Surely I'm not back at work tomorrow??

This Sunday, two of these four men will wake up in Paris knowing they can't nip out for a tasty pain au chocolat and a caffeine-fuelled espresso on the Champs-Elysees.

Non monsieur. They will be opening their bleary eyes, jumping out of bed, downing some donkey cheese (maybe), external and casting their mind towards another day of hard work - in a Grand Slam final.
