Nip to the loo, grab yourself a cuppa, or stock up on the food supplies. Whatever you need to do, then now is the time to do it. We have a brief break at Court Philippe Chatrier as the two players disappear into the bowels of the arena for a moment or two.

As our man Piers tell us, Stan Wawrinka is draped in an ice towel at the change of ends a la Serena Williams in her semi-final yesterday. The Swiss also chomps on an energy bar - you suspect it might be a long afternoon.

A routine hold from Wawrinka means it is time. Tie-break time....

    Piers Newbery
    BBC Sport at Roland Garros

"Both men spend the changeover wrapped in huge ice towels and furiously refuelling, gulping water and chewing energy bars. It's hardly a relaxing break.

"Wawrinka has made a desperate 27% of first serves in this set, so it's something of a miracle he's still in it, although it highlights Tsonga's lack of penetration on return."

Adam: "If a semi final of a slam with a home player playing can't even attract a full Court, should said country even be afforded the privilege of a slam? History or not. Discuss."

Jake, Aberdeen: "Having snuck into Murray's Final against Djokovic in Melbourne earlier this year, if he reaches the final here then I'll be tempted to pop over and try it again!"

Do share your tactics Jake... Full ballboy get-up? Sleeping overnight in the Melbourne Park toilets? An Escape to Victory style tunnel?

"You wonder if we are going to be looking back on that hold from Tsonga, not only at the end of this match, but also at the end of Sunday's final, as a huge, huge moment in this championships."

The Frenchman earns himself advantage when Wawrinka clubs long, only then to slap a weak forehand into the the tape. Another Tsonga mishap brings groans of despair from the Paris crowd - but more importantly it hands another break point to Wawrinka.

A game of cat and mouse develops, the pair trading more points before Wawrinka's sweeping forehand winner gives him a fifth break point. Tsonga saves again as he steps forward and leans into a meaty winner. And another crunching forward whizzes past Wawrinka, who cannot stick a solid wrist on a hefty Tsonga serve, as the home favourite produces a gutsy hold.

All the good work from Tsonga in the previous game is melting quicker than an ice lolly in the Court Philippe Chatrier sun.

Tsonga mutters something - probably unrepeatable - under his breath as he gifts two break points to Wawrinka. But then he digs out two massive serves to force deuce....

Wawrinka does nothing to calm his nerves by losing the opening point, before Tsonga helps ease them with some, er questionable returning. The Frenchman scurries off to courtside to grab his white baseball cap, but that doesn't shield him from a terrible backhand which gives the game to Wawrinka. Tsonga pulls his cap over his face and tries to hide...

"I think it is tough for Tsonga without relatively few competitive miles in the bank for 2015.

"You like to build up your reservoirs of mental and physical strength. He has had some tough matches so far in the tournament, most notably against Kei Nishikori in the last round, but I think he will need the crowd to carry him in the latter stages of this match."

Zut alors! What a turnaround from Jo-Wilfried Tsonga. That man Mo - Mo Mentum - cosies up to the Frenchman, who smashes, serves and forehands his way to a quick hold. Court Philippe Chatrier is rocking again as Wawrinka - under pressure for the first time today - serves to stop Tsonga hauling himself level...

Swedish maestro Bjorn Borg - who won six Roland Garros titles - is kicking back in the Paris sun and soaking up the rays. Obviously he's watching a bit of the tennis too. And I'm sure he's impressed with what he has seen from Stan Wawrinka - until now.

The Swiss eighth seed loses the plot, somehow contriving to cook up TWO double faults to hand a break point to Tsonga. The Frenchman - to the delight of the home fans - gobbles up that chance as Wawrinka shanks a forehand well wide. That almost ended up in the front row...
