Andy Murray cracks down a laser-guided ace for 30-15 and brother Jamie steps in to slap a volley sideways for a winner.

The final point shows the communication and trust that sharing a childhood probably helps build.

"Leave," shouts Jamie to Andy who does what he is told and is rewarded by the sight of a Belgian volley drifting long.

You won't like them when they are angry.

The Murray brothers bounce back hard, whipping up a 0-40 scoreline and converting the second of three break points and David Goffin fends into the net.

This was the one worry for Britain - Jamie's serve on this clay court sitting up. He's looking a bit vulnerable and he's having to hit too many balls off his shoelaces because the Belgium pair are hitting the returns so low.

Steve Darcis punishes a Jamie Murray serve that sits up pretty, right in his forehand hitting zone.

Great Britain are a break down in the third set.

They needed five sets to overcome Groth and Hewitt in the semi-finals. It might take something similarly epic if they are to prevail again today.

  6. Two break points Belgiumpublished at 15:46

Great Britain are up against it on the Jamie Murray serve once again.

Love-thirty becomes 15-40 as Steve Darcis guides a top-spinning forehand down and in at the back of the court for two break points.

Hands as soft as a princess from the Belgian pair as they find some delicious angles to make holes in the apparently unbreachable Murray wall across the net.

Put a suit on that service game and shove it into the boardroom to face Lord Sugar.

Ship-shape and business-like from the Murray brothers at the start of the third set as they hold Andy's serve in a flurry of big serves and clinical volleys.

For Belgium to close that set out to love and get their crowd on their feet fills them with enormous belief. It's in the balance now and the pressure is huge."

Not a hint of nerves from the Belgians.

David Goffin punches a volley straight into Jamie Murray's midriff to win the first point.

Steve Darcis finds an obscene angle for the second.

Darcis' serve is too spicy and takes the third.

And Goffin completes the hold to love with an instinctive volley that drops just in.

Serving in doubles is a lot about how your partner helps by making the court look small, creating angles and dominating the net, and that's something that Jamie Murray is phenomenal at and helps his brother with enormously.

Andy Murray ensures that the Belgians, and Steve Darcis in particular, will have to serve out to take the second set.

Andy skips merrily to 40-0, hits a bit of speed-bump with a double fault, but then comes home via a cool-blooded volley between the tramlines from brother Jamie.

Cue the Toure brothers chant, reworked for the Murrays, among the Barmy Army.

Jamie Murray's wife Alejandra Gutierrez is sitting next to sister-in-law Kim Sears and looks like she is taking the tension out of the situation, making the international sign for 'let's have a beer'.

Belgium is the right country for such activity, a pregnant Kim is probably the wrong audience.

Out on court, their boys are pressing hard, but Andy Murray fluffs a makeable forehand volley at 15-30. Jamie buries one off the backhand wing into the gauze on the next point and then Steve Darcis shows how it is done with a stabbed winner to seal the game.

  16. *Belgium 4-6 4-3 GBpublished at 15:22 Greenwich Mean Time 28 November 2015

Jamie Murray's serve is wrapped up safe and sound as the Belgians, perhaps still relieved from surviving that brush with a break in the previous game, fail to raise much of a challenge.

Alex Turner: Can't explain how entertaining it is to watch the Murray brothers play together. Absolute human machines!

Tom Gumbleton: This is everything you want from a tennis match, missed opportunities, great aggression, beautiful shots. Crumbling & pumped.

  18. Belgium save break pointpublished at 15:19 Greenwich Mean Time 28 November 2015

    Belgium 4-6 4-2 GB*

David Goffin is very nearly wearing a tennis ball in his appendix as Steve Darcis fails to get enough loft on a cross-court lob and Jamie Murray swats it out of the sky at the cowering Belgian.

Britain work up break point and 30-40, but Andy Murray fails to read a slider of a serve from Darcis and can only parry into the net.

Darcis makes good on the escape with a lovely cascading lob over the top of Jamie and just inside the whitewash.

    Chance gone for GB.

Andy Murray's serve is still rock-solid.

He drills down a couple of whoppers en route to a hold to love.
