Thankfully for Great Britain, the Murray brothers have teamed up to turn their aggression on the rest of the world since then.

They first played together at senior level in 2005, coming together to represent Scotland against England's Gred Rusedski and David Sherwood in the now-defunct Aberdeen Cup.

This season, 10 years on, they have defeated Nicolas Mahut and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga of France and then Sam Groth and Lleyton Hewitt of Australia in key doubles rubbers to take Great Britain to their first Davis Cup final since 1978

Today, they play Belgians David Goffin and Steve Darcis, hoping to move Britain with a whisker of lifting the grand old pot for the first time in 79 years.

Picture the scene. A summer's night in the late-nineties, a mini-bus is on an A-road bound for Dunblane. Judy Murray is driving, brothers Andy and Jamie are in the back.

They are returning from an under-12s tennis tournament. Earlier in the day, Andy had beaten Jamie, 15 months older, in the final.

Andy mentions the fact one too many times and, in return, Jamie punches his brother's hand hanging over the seat in front of him.

"There was blood and I had to stop the bus, we dress the wound, separate them and drive the few hours back," recalls Judy., external

"We took Andy for a tetanus shot because the nail was ripped and the nail has never grown in straight. But it's a reminder about being humble and never bragging about beating anyone -- especially your brother!"
