The order of play is out for tomorrow's action.

Andy Murray is third on Philippe Chatrier after two women's matches, expect him on court sometime around 12:30 BST.

Kyle Edmund is also third on, although it is Court 14 and after Dustin Brown and Jack Sock play out an interesting looking contest. Maybe 13:30 BST for him?

Easier to time your day around are Heather Watson and 13th seed Svetlana Kuznetsova. They get first use of Court Two and will start at 10:00 BST.

    See you there.

  2. At the momentpublished at 18:17 British Summer Time 24 May 2016

There is still plenty going on out there.

Serena Williams, wet of nose and shiny of coat, has just stepped out on Court Philippe Chatrier against Magdalena Rybarikova.

Over on Suzanne Lenglen, Victoria Azarenka has just packed it in after struggling with injury.

The fifth seed has retired hurt when trailing 4-0 in the third and deciding set against Italy's Karin Knapp.

You can follow all those to a conclusion on our live scores page.

  3. Konta out of French Openpublished at 18:07 British Summer Time 24 May 2016

    Konta 2-6 3-6 Goerges

That was hugely impressive from Julia Georges.

She put Johanna Konta through the mangle with a pretty much bulletproof cocktail of depth and accuracy, with only the tiniest trace of error.

Clay is not the dancefloor that Konta's best moves come on. But, given the season she has had, a first-round exit is bound to be disappointing.

    Konta 2-6 3-5 Goerges*

Johanna Konta manages to make Julia Goerges do it on her own serve at least.

She defends her own tee-off to 30.

Goerges has shown no sign of nerves so far.

Will having to serve out to beat the 20th seed, with a fresh set of fuzz as well, be enough to bring on the jitters?

    *Konta 2-6 2-5 Goerges

Now then. A sniff for Johanna Konta at 0-30 on the Goerges serve.

But Goerges whips the rug from under the Briton with a stratospherically high standard of tennis.

The German has been hitting the ball beautifully. Control, precision and brainpower all oozing through her play.

    Konta doesn't win another point.

Jo-Willy Tsonga has done the straight sets business over Germany's Jan-Lennard Struff by the way.

The crowd favourite is into the second round on the back of a 6-3 6-4 6-4 win.

    Konta 2-6 2-4 Goerges*

Johanna Konta is backed against the ropes at 15-40 with Julia Goerges holding two break points over her like the sword of Damacles.

Konta holds steady to see them both off.

But from deuce the British number one attempts a dinky little drop-shot. It lands wide and third time is the charm for Goerges who wallops away to move a break clear in the second set.

    *Konta 2-6 2-3 Goerges

Julia Goerges is still purring like a Rolls Royce.

Another service game ushered past the British number one with a minimum of fuss. The German is looking rock-solid.

  8. Robson out of French Openpublished at 17:49 British Summer Time 24 May 2016

    Robson 2-6 2-6 Petkovic

Andrea Petkovic has proved too good, too strong for Laura Robson, who is still shaking off the rust and testing out the wrist after more than two years out of the game in total.

The former British number one will have to take the upside in that she hit some big forehands and serves amid some understandable errors.

On Court 14, Johanna Konta holds serve to level up the second set at 2-2.

    *Konta 2-6 1-2 Goerges

Julia Goerges is still punching and landing.

The German's compact roundhouse forehands find the mark to keep her ahead in the second set.

Not any better news for Britain out on Court Two.

Andrea Petkovic is serving for the match against Laura Robson at 5-2 in the second set.

    Konta 2-6 1-1 Goerges*

Johanna Konta bellows her best Andy Murray-style "C'mon" as she clings onto her own serve like driftwood in a storm.

Julia Georges was sniffing around in search of another break and nibbled a couple of points away from the British number one.

    *Konta 2-6 0-1 Goerges

Julia Goerges soaks up some pace off the Johanna Konta and spits it back with venom.

The German has hit 15 winners to Konta's three so far. The better player is winning right now.

Konta's best hope right now is that Goerges purple patch goes off a little.

  12. Robson strugglingpublished at 17:35 British Summer Time 24 May 2016

Over on Court Two, Andrea Petkovic has just broken serve once more.

The German now leads Laura Robson 6-2 3-2 with the balls on her racquet.

You feel that Robson will end up on the deck once that see-sawing second set comes to a halt.

  13. Goerges wins first setpublished at 17:33 British Summer Time 24 May 2016

    Konta 2-6 Goerges*

Johanna Konta has just run into a barrage of brilliance from Julia Goerges.

The German swats consecutive running winners - one off each wing - to take the opening set in style with a break.

The British number one will hope for a change in the weather - meteorological or tennis - soon,

Over on Court Two by the way, Laura Robson has swapped service breaks with Andrea Petkovic.

The German leads their match 6-2-2-2.

    *Konta 2-5 Goerges

Julia Goerges has won 23 points in this match compared to Johanna Konta's 13.

It feels even more one-sided than that.

Goerges fills the furnace with another hold to love. Next stop: the first set.

    Konta 2-4 Goerges*

Hatches battened, loins girded and game won.

Johanna Konta has been under siege, but she digs deep and holds the red-hot Julia Goerges at bay.

The British number one is crouched low to the red dust as she slugs away a winning backhand to stay in touch.

  16. Postpublished at 17:20 British Summer Time 24 May 2016

    *Konta 1-4 Goerges

Better from Johanna Konta as she stretches wide and pings back a return on a jagging angle to get back to 30-15.

There is not enough of that though from the British number one. She is leaving too much too short and too central for Goerges to get her teeth into.

That is a break backed up by a hold. And the German has this set in her tentacles.

    Konta 1-3 Goerges*

Julia Goerges has Johanna Konta under the pump once again.

The German is striking the ball as clean as a whistle and fresh as thistle.

Konta looks like she needs a few more games to get those long limbs working.

    *Konta 1-2 Goerges

Julia Goerges reached the semi-finals of the French Open warm-up in Nurnberg.

She has been up and around the top 20 before a recent dip.

She holds her own on serve to edge back in front on the scoreboard.

We join Johanna Konta at the start of the opening set.

It is still on serve against German world number 57 Julia Goerges.

    Robson 6-2 1-0 Petkovic*

Laura Robson lands a terrific backhand punch across court for 30-30, before pummeling Andrea Petkovic to the far corners with power and precision.

But Robson is caught at deuce like a bear in a snare. She nets a meat-and-potatoes forehand and is pegged back from game point once again.

Finally she is across the line and on the board in the second set.

We are going to leave Laura there and switch focus to Court 14 where British number one Johanna Konta is going up against Julia Goerges.
