    Djokovic 6-4 4-1 Mannarino

Adrian Mannarino throws down a 118mph second serve on his way to holding for the first time in the second set.

Novak Djokovic isn't fazed, mind. He responds by marching his way through his own service game to love.

At least you know if you are scheduled to play on centre court you will play come rain or shine. It does help mentally when preparing. There will be quite a lot of players in the locker room right now jealous that they are not on centre court.

I remember one year I played one match that took three days to complete. Sometimes we would just walk to the court, then it rained, and we would walk back to the locker room.

You have to be aware of your nutrition because every few hours you want to eat something. You'd listen to some music, have a little nap maybe and you'd also have to warm up to go back on each time.

This is when you will see how he will play against quarter or semi final opponents. If he wants to practice stuff it is right here right now because they don't let you practice on this court.

This will be the game Roger Federer will pay attention to. It's a foreshadowing, if you will.

We talked about Mannarino's decision to receive serve first.

As the set evolves on serve, suddenly you're serving to stay in the set and playing catch up a little bit.

It will be tough for Mannarino sitting at the change of ends, as the first 10 games he played some great tennis but still ended up losing the set.

Oooohs and ahhhhs from the crowd as Novak Djokovic fights his way to break and set point.

Mannarino serves into the net and then can only land a backhand in the same place.

First set to the world number one.

    Djokovic 5-4 Mannarino*

We're still going with serve on Centre Court - Novak Djokovic has a 5-4 lead. Perhaps he's about to unleash a break on an unsuspecting Adrian Mannarino, we shall wait and see.

And just to keep you updated, no play is expected on the outside courts until after 15:30 BST. The rain just won't stop falling at SW19.

You think when you play someone of Djokovic's stature and in his kind of form, you're not going to win playing averagely.

Mannarino might as well go out there and give everything. It's impressive how he's come out here and really had a purpose to his game, and how he's executed it.

The closed roof favours Novak. He played tennis indoors mostly growing up and it is a comfort zone for him. He likes the echo, he likes the way the ball bounce a little lower.

Novak Djokovic holds to love to move 3-2 ahead, but Adrian Mannarino executes his own service game with aplomb to level again.

The left-handed Frenchman is certainly unmoved by the occasion here on Centre Court so far.

    Federer v Willis

    Jonathan Jurejko
    BBC Sport at Wimbledon

While the on-court action might not be close, there is sure to be an interesting vocal battle in the Centre Court seats. The Fed Heads v the Willbombers.

Is there a danger that Roger Federer - arguably the sport's all-time most popular player - might have even more vocal support than Marcus Willis? Not according to Tim Henman.

"The reality is that wherever Federer plays in the world he has unbelievable support," says the former British number one.

"But for Willis to get to this stage, and being a home player, he will have great support. It will be a brilliant atmosphere."

When you are aggressive and hit the ball flat through the court you are able to get good depth on it. Djokovic is able to hit so aggressively with the spin and that gives him margin for error.

Trying to come up with a game plan to break Djokovic down, it's the toughest challenge in tennis right now.

The nature of these matches for the underdog, it's so important if they can stay close early on, get a couple of service games under their belt early on.
