NathB: Raonic really forcing Federer's backhand. Simple but effective.

Andy Page: Raonic is really making Federer work for this second set!

There is nothing fussy about the Milos Raonic serve. It is a simple equation of long levers and sweet timing that generates the power rather than a grunting swish at the ball.

A couple of aces in that game- held to 15 - and Roger Federer is still yet to steal a service game against the head.

  3. 'Federer senior looking twitchy'published at 14:42 British Summer Time 8 July 2016

Federer is quite vocal today. He's fired-up out there. I'm watching his dad in the box, he's got his head buried, and he's quite twitchy up there, living every moment of this match. And that's the first time I've seen Raonic looking straight into the corner where his support camp are and he was mouthing something off to them.

    *Raonic 6-3 6-7 (3-7) 1-1 Federer

Milos Raonic extends a telescopic arm to reach an attempted pass and stop-volley away a winner for 0-30.

Creaky times for the Swiss big cheese.

But that is the perfect response. Federer's service game tightens up and he wins the next four points with Raonic over-cooking on the backhand in the final action.

Maybe Milos Raonic went looking for his first serve to see if he misplaced it somewhere behind the scenes.

His percentage dropped from 71% to 61% between the first and second sets.

It looks a little sharper in the first game of the third. A searing ace move the Canadian to 40-15 before he roundhouses away a forehand for the game.

Both players have decided to take a bathroom break. I don't think either is actually having a bath.

Actually maybe Milos Raonic is. The Canadian has been gone some time.

Roger Federer stands on the baseline, hands on hips, flexing his racquet, waiting for his opponent.

Call off the search party. Here he is.

We are ready to go, Roger maybe slightly peeved.

Folarin Olawale: Some great missiles are flying about in this semi-final. Top top match of tennis.

Richard Bridgewater: I have a feeling we are in for the long haul this afternoon which I don't mind at all

David Robinson: The crowd bias towards Federer isn't exactly fair. To cheer one player loudly and the other barely is not right.

This guy is able to keep his composure, his belief and you are the one who feels you have to go for something extra. Raonic had worked so hard to get himself into a position to win that set, but you have to hand it to this guy.
