Heather Watson served really well and that gives her confidence in the rest of her game.
Watson 6-3 Stosur
That's the first set to Heather Watson! She's serving well and a nervy Sam Stosur can't find a response to the 24-year-old Brit at the moment.
Stosur led 2-0 in the first set, but it's Watson - ranked 60 places below the Australian - who draws first blood.
Nadal 6-3 3-4 Mayer
Rafa Nadal is a set up and it remains on serve in the second set.
He won the Australian Open back in 2009, but with the Spaniard looking great shape again could it be ready to add to that?
He's seeded ninth this year.

Sam Stosur does have these big dips in confidence during matches and there's always anxiety in the crowd when she plays here. They are willing her to do well, and feel her pain.
Watson 5-2 Stosur
Heather Watson has won five games on the spin to completely turn this first-round match on its head.

Jill Craybas
Former world number 39 on BBC Radio 5 live sports extra
Heather Watson has got Sam Stosur to a point where she looks a little bit uncomfortable in the last few points and she almost looks as though she is guessing.
Watson's not the biggest or the most powerful hitter, so she has to rely on her movement. But she has to step up and create a weapon for herself.
When she gets the opportunity to change defence into offence she needs to do that more effectively.
Nadal 6-3 2-2 Mayer
Rafa Nadal won the opening set on the Rod Laver Arena but it remains on serve so far in the second set.
Florian Mayer the man attempting to stop Nadal progressing.
Watson 2-2 Stosur

The British number two goes a set up against the world number 91, who sends a backhand wide
Quick work from Edmund too, it took the 22-year-old just half an hour to win the opening set.
Edmund 5-2 Giraldo
Kyle Edmund was 5-1 up and serving for the set on Court 5, but Santiago Giraldo has pulled a break back.
There's been a lot of talk about whether Edmund can last in Melbourne heat, but if he soars through sets at this speed that might not be a problem.
Jill Craybas
Former world number 39 on BBC Radio 5 live sports extra
Sam Stosur's serve is so heavy and the ball bounces so high that if her first-serve percentage remains high, then Heather Watson will find it hard to get into the match.
Watson 0-1 Stosur
A double fault from Heather Watson sees Sam Stosur break the Brit in the opening game.
Watson was 30-0 love up in that game, but finds herself an early break down to the Australian former US Open champion.
