    Murray 5-3 Brown*

That double fault from Brown has thrown his rhythm off.

There's a hint of frustration as he hands away two points before he comes charging up to the net, forcing a lob out of Murray that lands long.

Into the net again from Brown, and that brings up set point.

Here we go - Murray will serve for the first set. There's a fist bump from the Brit, not as emphatic as usual, before he heads off to wipe his face on a towel.

    *Murray 5-3 Brown

An almighty backhand slash from Brown is followed up by a less-than-impressive drop shot. He's still getting Murray to do most ofthe running, though.

That's a belter of a return down the line from Brown at 40-30, and he nets for deuce.

Murray reads his serve well, hammering the return of serve to bring up break point, and Brown gifts it to him with a double fault!

You feel Brown does not have a care in the world, he will go for every shot and is probably not too sure where it will go.

    Murray 4-3 Brown*

In Dustin Brown's presser yesterday, one member of the pack asked him how he'd cope "not being a favourite on Centre Court" with him facing the British number one.

His reply? "Who said I won't be?"

He gets a warm round of applause from the crowd as he just overcooks a forehand, but the applause is equally enthusiastic for Murray as he holds to love.

    Wang 2-2 V.Williams*

Qiang Wang of China has saved two break points on her way to levelling the first set against former champion Venus Williams.

This pair are playing on Court One and you can watch here or on BBC Two.

There's a bit of a distraction though, with the noise filtering over from Centre Court...

    *Murray 3-3 Brown

A ridiculous rally up at the net, drop shot after drop shot, neither player putting any oomph on any stroke, and it's Murray who comes out on top.

Then another daft rally, a strike off the net momentarily wrong-footing Brown but he somehow returns, he and Murray contorting to reach the ball before Brown gets the point with an overhead slam.

Casual as you like from Brown. Another backhand drop shot, another hold.

Murray has one of the greatest returns in the history of the sport, no question. This court is playing slower than Australia so will give him a lot of time. But Murray has to be ready to sprint forward because Brown has excellent hands and will play drop volleys and drop shots.

    Murray 3-2 Brown*

I mean. A ridiculous slap of a backhand winner from Brown, 95mph, and Murray can't get near it. That's just daft.

There's a quiet "come on" from Murray as he sends Brown sprawling at the net and the Brit holds courtesy of a pacey serve.

    Tim Henman
Former British number one on BBC TV

One of the challenges that faces both players is the match prior to this. It went deep into the third set and the players would have been hanging around.

From the crowd's point of view they have been here for three and a half hours and want to go and have a drink and get some shade.

You come out on to the Centre Court and it can feel a bit flat when it is like that.

    *Murray 2-2 Brown

Down comes the ace from Brown but he's too quick with the drop shot again and Murray, bad hip and all, can reach it and batter it back.

Another drop shot from Brown! Murray's wise to it though and works it back for a break point, before a big serve from the German gets himself out of trouble.

Brown decides to stick with the drop shot, gets the advantage, and then a volley that Murray skews wide ensures he holds.

Last year's British hero, Marcus Willis, is back out on court at SW19 in the doubles alongside fellow Brit Jay Clarke. They're up against Jared Donaldson and Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan.

You can watch 'Willbomb' on court nine via this feed. He's not on fire yet, as far as we know.

    *Murray 2-1 Brown

Murray gets up on one leg and tries to hammer a forehand back but he ends up fluffing it into the net, before Brown does the same with a lazy waft.

High into the air goes the ball, Murray slamming a return up towards the pigeons up on the roof, before Brown finally gets a drop shot to go his way.

That's a magnificent return from Murray though, up at the net and slamming the ball beyond Brown for deuce.

"Tell Andy to expect a lot of drop-shot returns!" That was the message from a member of Dustin Brown's coaching team when we crossed paths during a 'comfort break' yesterday, and I don't think he was joking. One thing is for sure, Murray's hip will get a thorough workout this afternoon as Brown plans to keep him off balance, and on the move.

    Murray 2-1 Brown*

Murray Mound is packed to the rafters. I hope they've got plenty of suncream going around.

Another hold from Murray, with Brown attempting another drop shot that drifts out of play. Speaking of which...

    Wang V. Williams

Venus Williams is about to get under way on Court One in her second-round tie against Qiang Wang.

The American 10th seed has only faced her Chinese opponent once before - in the first round of this year's French Open, where Venus won 6-4 7-6 (7-3).

    *Murray 1-1 Brown

Brown, armed with a whippy serve, tries three drop shots against Murray. Only one gets over the net, and Murray just gets racquet on it before Brown feathers the return past him.

There's the ace, and the German holds.

In the context of this tournament, if Murray has been carrying a niggle it's important he gets through these early rounds quickly. Brown will want to keep him out there as long as possible.
