Marcus Willis has continued to wow Wimbledon this year, this time alongside teenager Jay Clarke in the men's doubles.

The British pair provided more excitement than any Saturday prime-time television programme, beating defending champions Pierre-Hugues Herbert and Nicolas Mahut in a five-set thriller.

But the going is tough against Olivier Marach and Mate Pavic out on court 14 today... the Brits are a set and a break down.

That's not stopping loads of fans peering in from all angles to see Willbomb and Jaybomb...

Simon: Part of me is rooting for Kerber to win Wimbledon, she should be shown more respect as number one. Sure, she's no Serena, but still a top player.

    Kerber 6-4 1-2 Muguruza

If she keeps playing like this not only will she get a game on Centre Court, she might win the thing! Kerber fires two winners past Muguruza back-to-back to put real pressure on and look for a break.

A fifth ace for Muguruza comes to her aid - and she holds.

What Kerber likes in this match is the fact that she's the number one player in the world and she has carried so much pressure over the last year, but in this match she thinks it is even or perhaps is even the underdog, and that has taken some of the pressure off of her.

On top, but not happy. Angelique Kerber gives the umpire a death stare after he calls a second serve out for a double fault.

She gets the job done though.

We are into the second set out on court 18 with Slovakia's Magdalena Rybarikova a set up, but a break down in set two against Croatia's Petra Martic.

Both players are unseeded and world number 135 Martic broke serve first, but Rybarikova, ranked 87th, fought back to take the opening set 6-4.

This group of tennis "legends" are from Portsmouth and have been camping at Wimbledon Park since Saturday to secure decent tickets for today.

And they have been rewarded with Number One Court - watching Johanna Konta, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic.

They assure me they've not been wearing the same clothes for two days but "Maria Sharapova" AKA Shane Anckorn did warn: "don't get too close. We've only been able to use baby wipes to wash ourselves!"

Marcus Willis and Jay Clarke went down in the first set 6-3 but we are going to show you this deft winner from Willis anyway. Do you need an excuse to promote Willis doing his thing? No.

  9. Kerber kicking up a fuss?published at 12:33 British Summer Time 10 July 2017

Angelique Kerber still doesn't like the grass - or lack of it - on court two, particularly the baseline to the umpire's left where she keeps kicking at the bare patches that are more dust than anything else. Still, it can't be bothering her that much, can it?

    Kerber 6-4 0-1 Muguruza

Just eight out of 17 points won at the net from Garbine Muguruza so far, she has drifted in the last few games. Kerber has been labelled as a defensive player which is a touch unfair but she makes her opponent play.

That's a great shot from Kerber! Anticipated it and flies a double-handed backhand winner home from the baseline.

    Muguruza holds though.

What a fantastic performance, especially during the last game from Angelique Kerber, she refused to miss and was just waiting for her opportunity.

I was a bit nervous when she had to hit that overhead, but she stayed strong and deserved to win the first set.

    Kerber 6-4 Muguruza

Kerber serving for the first set then on Court Two, stunning sun-kissed day once again at Wimbledon. If you've got tickets for tomorrow we're told it's going to rain.

Muguruza takes a chance, coming in to the net and cutting off the angles, but then makes a mess of the volley. Too many errors from the Spaniard over the past few games. That could be the difference. A punishing volley is ended with an overhead right into the corner.

Kerber leads. She'll take some stopping...

You have to wonder what it is with Kerber and why she's not been at her best the last six months, is it mental fatigue? She goes in day in day out competing at the highest level. Similar to Djokovic, she is so pure in the way she plays. Ticking every box day to day just wears you out. She will definitely push through it, she's such a great competitor.

    Kerber 5-4 Muguruza

Kerber is not happy with the grass behind the baseline as she nearly slips again. She kicks at it angrily. It won't do her any good.

The world number one is playing well though, both of them are. But Muguruza plays two sloppy shots to go 15-40 and gift the German a few break points, mistake ladled on to another one as she fires wide.

    Break for Kerber.

During the doubles match with Marcus Willis and Jay Clarke, poor Oliver Marach takes a blow in a very unfortunate place. Fortunately, he recovers swiftly to a round of applause from the crowd - and with an excellent sledge, too.

Muguruza's backhand down the line can really do some damage, she can hit that on a dime.

    Kerber 4-4 Muguruza

It seems that Muguruza was taking 28 seconds between points in the last game, not the 20 she is allowed. Is that a big deal?

What's eight seconds between friends? Or points?

Rules are rules I guess. Both players continue to hit clean winners off either side as Muguruza goes to 0-30 on the Kerber serve with a crisp strike. Can she break?

She goes for broke at 30-30 with a massive backhand but pushes it long. Deuce after a great rally again - this may be the best match I've seen at the tournament yet.

Kerber won't cave in, under the cosh she finds quite some shot to hold.

Seventh seed Svetlana Kuznetsova is halfway to a place in the quarter-finals after dominating the first set against Agnieszka Radwanska out on court three.

Two breaks in Radwanska's first two service games help the Russian take the first set 6-2.

    Now then.

Elina Svitolina was 3-1 down and, during the break between games, had a furious conversation with herself as she sat on the sidelines.

She's upped her service game and started going after Ostapenko's second serve, which has thrown the Latvian slightly off balance.

The French Open champion isn't giving up, though - she's saved three break points with some monster forehands to ensure she's just a game away from the first set.
