Uh oh. Not looking good for the Skupski siblings.

Ken and kid brother Neal, the unseeded Scousers, are two sets and a break down in the first Grand Slam quarter-final.

Barring a miracle they won't be competing in their first Slam semi-final later this week.

  2. Game and first set Murray!published at 13:39 British Summer Time 12 July 2017

    Murray 6-3 Querrey

Sam Querrey can write off this first set as after a nervy opening few games he's up to a good level now. He really makes Andy Murray work with some rasping baseline drives before wrong-footing him with a cracking volley at the net.

Pressure on, of a sort, at 30-30. But the world number one is up to the task, forcing his opponent wide to win the first set in 28 minutes...

Well that didn't take long. Sam Querrey up to the big serving boomer we were expecting, rattling through service games in seconds.

  5. Muller breaks Cilic servepublished at 13:33 British Summer Time 12 July 2017

    *Muller 4-3 Cilic

It has taken us seven games, and we finally have a break point over on Court One.

It is a chance for Gilles Muller, Marin Cilic's first serve is into the net and the second leads to a belting forehand winning return down the line from Muller and the man from Luxembourg has the early advantage.

  6. Skupski brothers lose second setpublished at 13:33 British Summer Time 12 July 2017

Skupski brothers find themselves with an uphill battle after losing the second set to go 2-0 down.

  7. Murray holds serve easilypublished at 13:32 British Summer Time 12 July 2017

    Murray 5-2 Querrey

That's a big forehand! Sam Querrey takes things up a notch with a booming shot down the line which Murray retrieves, but Querrey is then able to play a dink at the net to win a point.

Murray makes you play an extra shot every time though. Perhaps he should play Simona Halep in a never-ending match. We could harness the power somehow and never need fossil fuels again.

Murray hold easily enough. Looking solid for the first set.

    Muller 3-3 Cilic*

It is tight and tense over on Court One as two of the game's biggest servers go head-to-head.

Gilles Muller is 6ft 4 in and Marin Cilic is 6ft 6in, and at the moment no-one can do much against the opponent's serve.

It is 3-3 on serve with neither player having a break point yet.

Muller, of course, is the man who eliminated Rafael Nadal on Monday, while seventh seed Cilic is a former US Open champion.

Sir Ian McKellen is back in the crowd, he was in the other day. Sir Ian, Sir Ian, Sir Ian, Sir Ian, Sir Ian, Sir Ian, Sir Ian, Sir Ian,Sir Ian, Sir Ian, Sir Ian, Sir Ian.

Querrey is into his service groove now though, whistling a 130mph+ ace past Murray's nose and holding easily to 15.

Watch Andy Murray break Sam Querrey at the very first opportunity. A great start for the number one seed.

    Murray 4-1 Querrey

Six unforced errors to one in Andy Murray's favour so far. If Querrey is going to have any chance in this match he needs to cut the error rate significantly.

I'm sure he knows that. Some very unhelpful backseat driving from me there. Basically telling him to 'play tennis better.'

Anyway, Murray looks very composed and slick so far. He's not shouted into the air once yet, no reason to as he sends Querrey around the court on a wild goose chase and holds to 30.

Sam Querrey is definitely trying to find his groove but I'm surprised by how slow it is. The balls are fluffy and big. It's strange.

    Murray 3-1 Querrey

A drinks break, a change of ends, change of focus for Querrey? His opening serve is a ripper out wide and gives him an easy point, before a clinical smash gets him to 30-0.

Better from the big man. An easy hold.

    Murray 3-0 Querrey

Have nerves got the better of Sam Querrey? He's made a very shaky start. Andy Murray tries to lob him though and the 6ft 6ins American smashes that one away.

    Go round him, not over...

Querrey has Murray at 15-30, a chance to attack back but he miscues a sliced approach from Murray and lofts it deep out the back of the court.

Reprieve for Murray, and a little 'come on!' to himself as he forces another error from Querrey. And a hold with an ace.

    Murray 2-0 Querrey

Not a spare seat in the house as the world's number one gets up and running.

Here comes the big serve then. Querrey starts with a double fault, not ideal. And Murray gets to 0-40 straight away, three break points just like that!

Huge ace, Querrey's 100th ace of the tournament, saves one but Murray breaks!
