    Raonic 4-6 2-6 3-2 Federer*

Proof that Federer is human. He's screwed up a backhand and has been completely overpowered by a Raonic serve. It's 40-15.

The big Canadian holds with his eighth ace of the match.

Raonic takes his seat for a bit of thinking time. He removes his mouthguard - which is in place to help his back alignment (true story) - and eats some prunes.

It's no chocolate digestive but whatever floats your boat, Milos.

Federer lands an overhead smash past a ducking Milos Raonic for 40-0 and holds with an ace.

He's back in the groove after a tiny little blip.

It's still on serve. There's barely been a sniff of a break point.

    As you were, folks.

    Raonic 4-6 2-6 2-1 Federer*

Milos Raonic messes up another serve and volley opportunity and he looks agitated by his mistakes.

The sixth seed composes himself and brings up 40-15 with a net point win and holds to edge ahead in the set.

  8. Watch Federer breezes through second setpublished at 17:37 British Summer Time 12 July 2017

Long five-set matches are for mere tennis players, not for Roger Federer. Watch him wrap up the second set with not an hour on the clock.

A slight sigh of relief from Roger Federer as he staves off break point and goes on to hold with an ace.

    *Raonic 4-6 2-6 1-0 Federer

Raonic claims the seventh point on Federer's serve. Small victories.

Oh, make that eight. Fed slams into the net. 0-30. Curious.

The Swiss temporarily shakes off his third-set nerves to level, after a 15-shot rally ends with Raonic knocking wide.

But then Federer does the same. A break point to the Canadian.

That long break did Raonic good, it seems. He races into a 40-0 lead on his serve.

But his good work goes to waste quite quickly- he nets and hits long for 40-30.

Luckily for him, Federer misplaces a backhand and Raonic holds.

    *Raonic 4-6 2-6 0-0 Federer

We've been joking all week that Roger Federer has had dinner plans to get to in Wimbledon village every evening - hence the speedy victories.

    But seriously - has he?

He's spent six hours on court this tournament, compared to 12 for Raonic.

As we approach the third set, Federer is raring to go as per usual, but Raonic has a comfort break and takes his time to tie his shoe laces.

Michael Conway: Federer doing his best to make sure there are no disruptions to the BBC1 schedule tonight.

  16. Raonic holds; Federer to serve for setpublished at 17:23 British Summer Time 12 July 2017

    Raonic 4-6 2-5 Federer*

An ace at the speed of light (or 137 mph) gives Raonic the advantage and he overpowers Federer again to hold.

    Over to you, Rog.

What else has Roger got in his box of tricks? How about a 92 mph forehand winner? OK!

Raonic recovers to 30-15 before sending a weak drop shot into the net.

The Canadian whips out a massive ace for 40-30 but Federer outclasses him again by sending down a ridiculous backhand winner down the line.

    Deuce.

  18. 'An exhibition'published at 17:19 British Summer Time 12 July 2017

    Boris Becker
Three-time Wimbledon champion on BBC TV

This is an exhibition now from Federer. The shackles are off - let's play.

It takes two to have a match and I am disappointed with Raonic. He hasn't played like he can do.

How much is Federer charging by the hour for lessons?

We finally break into an even rally. Baseline to baseline with some big hits.

But it's another error clocked up for Raonic. This is disappointing.

Federer finishes the game off in style, with a pinpoint backhand which falls right in the corner crevice.

    Djokovic 2-1 Berdych*

Tomas Berdych hasn't beaten Novak Djokovic since 2013, and that was on the clay courts in Italy.

In fact, Djokovic has won 25 of their 27 meetings. Ouch.

The Serb looks, to my untrained eye at least, to be struggling with that shoulder. There's just a few shots that aren't getting that extra bit of lift that they need. He's held his serve nicely, though, with a few belting forehands.
