Kyle Edmund is hoping to extend an impressive run of form that sees him in action for the 10th time in 14 days.
The world number 42 reached the semi-finals in Winston-Salem before the US Open, and has beaten Robin Haase and Steve Johnson in New York.
He is looking to match his achievements from last year by reaching the fourth round of the tournament.
Denis Shapovalov, meanwhile, is enjoying a brilliant second senior season on the tour.
The Canadian qualifier is up to 69th in the rankings after reaching the Montreal Masters semi-finals earlier this month, beating Rafael Nadal along the way.
He earned a straight-set win over eighth seed Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in Wednesday's night session, having previously beaten Daniil Medvedev.

Kyle Edmund was understandably upbeat after his win over Steve Johnson, and confident that he has enough energy to keep going. Squeezed into the confined space that is Interview Room Three, he told the assembled British media that he is giving it everything after six weeks in North America.
"It's the last tournament so I know that's it," said Edmund. "Basically the mindset is leave everything on court now."

Teenager Denis Shapovalov gained infamy for this incident during the Davis Cup in February.
The Canadian found himself frustrated after being broken by Britain's Kyle Edmund and, well, you can watch below to see what happened next.
The umpire Arnaud Gabas suffered a fractured eye socket in the incident, but in an interview over the summer Shapovalov said the pair had since become good friends.
Speaking before today's match, the 18-year-old said: "I've come a long way from the incident.
"I've been working extremely hard on it. It's definitely helped me mature."

The pair have only met twice before.
Shapovalov beat Edmund at Queen's this summer to progress to the last 16, while Edmund was victorious in their infamous Davis Cup meeting in February.
