That was impressive from Bedene. The serve and the forehand were the two winners. I haven't seen him serve as well as that. He kept his nerve throughout.

He looked like a winner on court. He still looked calm even when he went a set down, stuck to his game plan. He was the more aggressive of the two and deserved the win.

Crack. A big ol' ace gets Aljaz Bedene under way.

Another one comes whizzing Cameron Norrie's way, and Bedene has three match points.

A serve straight down the T from Cameron Norrie, and a sprawling Aljaz Bedene hoicks his return long.

In fact, this is terrific from Norrie, strong on both the first and second serves. He holds to love, and Bedene will have to try and serve this one out.

Bedene doesn't even look tired. He's in great shape, like he can play for ever.

When you look across the net, you should feel they can't beat you on fitness. That is in your hands and no one else's.

The line judge wanders over for a word with the umpire, although we're not privy to the conversation.

Cameron Norrie lashes a wild forehand out of bounds to help Bedene to a 40-15 lead, although a little nibble from the net allows Norrie to dart forward and crack a winner cross-court.

Long goes the Norrie backhand, though, and Bedene is a game away from victory.

He gets himself to 40-0 before double faulting, but a furious, irritated swat of a forehand ensures he holds.

Bedene rather spoils that with a nifty love hold.

There is the break for Aljaz Bedene!

He dances forward and wallops a forehand that a despairing Norrie nets.

Now then. Break point for Aljaz Bedene, as Cameron Norrie gets his feet stuck behind the baseline.

Into the net goes Bedene's backhand, and Norrie has a chance to close things out.

A loopy forehand from Norrie takes proceedings back to deuce, though.

Ooft, a bobble off the net goes against Norrie, giving Bedene a glimmer of hope, and then a terrific forehand into the corner of the court takes us to deuce.

And an easy hold for Aljaz Bedene, too, keeps things ticking along.

I think if someone is in a good serving rhythm like Bedene is, the opponent should change where they stand, to change the mindset, just do something different.
