Nadal is not happy with his returns against Sela's serve, he is serving much softer than normal. You have to accelerate into it and he doesn't time it well.

    Oh, Rafa.

That is remarkable from the Spaniard, spinning around as he back-pedals and pirouettes like an elite ballet dancer, before slicing an overhead backhand winner. Any mere mortal would have pulled their shoulder out of its socket trying to reach that...

But, after that moment of beauty, Dudi Sela holds.

    Nadal 6-3 4-2 Sela*

Dudi Sela was growing frustrated a few moments ago, now he's taking the match to Nadal again - the best rally of the second set sees the world number 127 dictating the play, only for Rafa to somehow flick a half-volley back and then crack a winner on the full toss.

The Spaniard sears down a stinging serve to reassert his control, and an ace to hold.

    *Taylor 0-6 6-4 1-4 Bouchard

All of a sudden this match on court 14 feels more like the first set than the second.

Genie Bouchard breaks early in the deciding set to regain control of the match.

The pair exchange holds of serve soon-after but it's the Canadian in the far stronger position.

    *Nadal 6-3 3-2 Sela

A thumping two-handed backhand cripples the net from Rafael Nadal, and Dudi Sela holds.

Rafa still a break to the good in the second set.

    Nadal 6-3 3-1 Sela*

Rafa zips the first into the tape, and Dudi Sela saves the second with a lovely drop shot on the volley. That was a grasscutter - doing the groundsman's work for him.

The Israeli miscues having got back to deuce. Another chance for Nadal.

    Nadal 6-3 3-1 Sela*

Magnificent footwork from Dudi Sela to dance around a Nadal body shot at the net and stick some strings on it, he takes the point as a result.

The world number 127 can't back it up, he's arguing with the umpire after a call he doesn't like, and proceeds to double fault. And again... the 33-year-old has lost his head momentarily.

He's chatting away to his box, before a wayward backhand gives Nadal two break points.

    Thiem v Baghdatis

French Open finalist Dominic Thiem is about to begin his Wimbledon campaign.

Thiem was stunned by Japan's Yuichi Sugita in Halle in the build-up to Wimbledon. Today he's got Cypriot Marcos Baghdatis to contend with.

Skipping, hopping, almost strutting at times, Rafa Nadal fizzes from side to side to meet every Dudi Sela return with interest and takes another hold to love.

How is it not distracting for the players to see people wafting fans to cool themselves down when they are serving? The whole of one side of Centre Court is flapping, while the other three more shaded sides are completely still.

    Nadal 6-3 2-0 Sela*

Dudi Sela screams in frustration. He goes on the offensive, and pings a forehand into the tramlines. An inch from being the perfect winner.

The next one is good, though. A wonderful passing backhand on the run leaves Nadal clutching at thin air on Centre Court. That's deuce.

The 32-year-old closes out. It took a little longer than he'd have hoped.

    Kvitova 3-3 Sasnovich*

It's on serve over on court one, but it's not been plain sailing for Petra Kvitova.

The Czech has had to save four break points in her opening three service games. Kvitova has won five WTA titles this year, more than any other player.

She made her return to the tour last year after being stabbed in the hand by an intruder at her home. Initially doctors feared she may never play tennis again, but she's never given in.

    *Nadal 6-3 1-0 Sela

Rafa is stomping around behind the baseline collecting his service balls with serious purpose.

But then he double faults... the next one is too hot for Dudi Sela to handle, just flat-batting it long, before Nadal grunts into a sensational forehand winner down the line.

That's better from Sela, though, giving the Spaniard a little run around and sprinting in to the net to volley home - 30-30.
