    Edmund 6-2 5-3 Bolt*

A bit too much zip on a long forehand from Alex Bolt, and he stutters on his approach to the net and Kyle Edmund wallops a winner behind him.

Bolt gets a winner to nestle into the corner of the court to get him on the board at 30-15, but an easy backhand volley finds the net from the Australian.

    Two set points to Edmund.

    Hello!

Jay Clarke hadn't broken serve since the opening game of the match but over two hours later he has done it again.

The 19-year-old Briton has been excellent since losing the third set on a tie-break, bouncing around and not letting his head drop. Now he has his reward.

A big fist pump from Clarke and a beaming smile from his dad in the crowd. Are we going the distance?

Bernard Tomic courted controversy at Wimbledon last year when he said he was "bored" as he lost in straight sets to Mischa Zverev.

That landed him with a $20,000 fine for his behaviour and his racquet sponsor dumped him.

Fast forward to 2018 and he had to come through Wimbledon qualifying this year as his world ranking is now a lowly 184. He lost at Roehampton but was given a Wimbledon lifeline as a lucky loser.

And the Australian used it to positive effect as he beat Poland's Hubert Hurkacz in straight sets on Court 17.

His post match media conference could be entertaining. We'll keep you posted.

Edmund is playing well, he is beginning to sense vulnerability in his opponent, sense how tight his opponent is. Bolt seems like he can't relax.

    *Edmund 6-2 4-3 Bolt

Kyle Edmund looks away in annoyance as he tries to drive an uppish forehand over Alex Bolt, and ends up knocking the ball out of bounds.

Warm applause for the Australian as he gets himself to 40-15 and, despite an irritating double fault, a push down the line clocks a hold.

I think things are happening too fast for Bolt at the moment. He needs to get things together, he's down a set and a break and he's only been on the court 40 minutes.
