    *Williams 3-6 6-3 0-1 Giorgi

Camila Giorgi bounces around at the back of the court again to try and get herself going again. I mentioned she needed to find her first serve and the 26-year-old does so. One ace up near 120mph and another serve that Serena can only frame into the stands.

Confident start to the set from the Italian. She's still in it.

    Bertens 6-3 5-5 *Gorges

Another deuce. Another hold for Kiki Bertens. Whoever wins this quarter-final, will certainly have deserved their place in the semis.

Once again there wasn't much in that set. Camila Giorgi will need to find her first serve a few more times than the 43% there though.

    No problems for Serena Williams.

A huge scream of "come on".

    We're going the distance.

All this match is missing is a rope across the net. Every game has been a tug o' war between Bertens and Gorges.

Only two of the 17 games have ended in holds to love, none held to 15, and eight going to deuce.

This was an important game for Giorgi. To make a stand, stop the run of games and keep herself within striking distance in this set.

    *Williams 3-6 4-2 Giorgi

Camila Giorgi isn't showing any signs that she'll be affected physically by this match. The hair is still perfectly in place behind the white headband and there's no sign of fatigue in the face.

Serena hits some more powerful returns but the Italian comes through.

While men and women continue to play separately at Wimbledon the UK’s Local Tennis Leagues are thriving on mixed games.

The league, set up thirteen years ago by Sally Kinnes, began with 12 players and today it has 8,000.

Men and women compete by ability not just by gender with some women preferring to play with the opposite sex.

BBC Radio 4 went along to find out what it was all about. Listen to the podcast here.

Serena berates herself after missing a backhand. "Come on, come on," she says. Giorgi is still pushing but Serena is on top right now. Her ground strokes have a little more zip. They're pushing Giorgi back.

Serena sways at the back of the court, waiting to pounce on the Giorgi serves but they're still too strong. This one is a huge effort out wide that is followed by with a smash from deep in the court by the Italian.

Williams responds with a return winner but then Giorgi slams an ace to level. A few on Centre are starting to believe.
