    Jelena Ostapenko speaking to BBC Sport: "It was a very tough match but I was just trying to enjoy it.

    "I am really happy with the way I played. Dominika played well but I fought until the end and was very confident. I am fighting and it helps me gain more confidence with it.

    "I really enjoy being here."

    On why she had ice on her leg: "I hit myself with my hand when I lost a point. It was really strong and then I needed to ice it!"
