Three hours, 45 minutes... Roger Federer has probably not played too much longer than that in all his previous four matches at this year's Wimbledon combined.

The Swiss skips a backhand slice long, before Kevin Anderson rattles the net from deep.

Federer can only coax another backhand into the net, Anderson is just too powerful on the offensive.

    30-15.

Kevin Anderson makes a dent on the Roger Federer serve, that's the first time we've said that in a while... but Federer nails a second serve. Wowza. He's only served three doubles in the whole tournament, and none today. Ridiculous numbers.

But then the eight-time Wimbledon champion clips an easy volley into the net. How did Federer miss that?!

A kicker of a first serve to follow up, and then Federer goes to the net after Anderson clips the tape.. where's that dropping? He scrambles, gets there and complements a well-worked point with a stylish volley.

    Federer holds!

    Wowzer. Anything Rafa can do...

Nadal crunches a brilliant backhand up the line to win one point and then Nadal unleashes a forehand with flames on it for a winner of his own.

I think you can just about hear the cheers from Court One for that Federer hold here on Centre.

Nadal holds too. DelPo must do so again to stay in the set.

Anderson is certainly not fazed by the crowd support. He has just blanked that out. He has been around a long time and is used to the crowds. When you play Federer they are usually against you! But you feel that somehow Federer will find a way, just because it is Federer.
