Roger Federer chows down some fuel and sips on an isotonic drink, he's having to dig deep.

He picks out a postage-stamp winner, superb stuff - all of a sudden it looks so easy again for the Swiss.

Federer follows up with a well-worked point and a net winner - 0-30.

Rafa Nadal's shirt is drenched in sweat, sticking to his torso. He's only lost six points on serve so far. The Spaniard is looking slightly better so far.

I feel like Federer's forehand has calmed down a bit. It feels like he has more control of it in this set than he had for a little bit.

Well, the Court One crowd have enjoyed a real treat this afternoon. Not many would have called this five-setter...

Roger Federer edges to a 30-0 lead on serve and then whips a wrong-footing forehand winner beyond Kevin Anderson.

The Swiss polishes off with a chalk-kicking ace.

Wimbledon 2018: Juan Martin del Potro wins rally to save break point against Rafael Nadal

He doesn't go for it every time but when Juan Martin del Potro does unleash the big forehand I'm sure Centre Court shudders.

It's like something from the stone age.

He sees off the break points and holds.

    *Federer 6-2 7-6 (7-5) 5-7 4-6 5-5 Anderson

Two sets ago Roger Federer had match point... Kevin Anderson has rallied superbly to fight back from two sets down, the first he lost in 27 minutes.

Now he needs to serve to stay in the championships again. He starts in perfect fashion, a thumping ace down the T and another that Federer can't coax back.

Sizzling stuff from the South African, outrageous power - a hold to love.

This is a fantastic match. On paper it looked like it would be a comfortable win for Federer and then after it started. But it's been a tremendous match from Anderson.

Nadal has held serve to 15 while all that drama was going on on Court One. We're still on serve on Centre but Nadal now has 0-30 on the Del Potro serve...

The crowd break into a murmur, they think Kevin Anderson has gone long - he hasn't, what a rally... 21 shots! And eventually it's the South African who comes out on top as Roger Federer skips a slice into the ropes.

But then he goes long. Deuce again.

All frame from Fed, and that nearly joins Boris Becker in the commentary box. He's not found any sort of form off that forehand...

Kevin Anderson is bouncing around, and rattles down an ace that kicks up the chalk.

Federer attacks the next, forcing Anderson to dip low and skittle a backhand into the net. The South African can't pick up the next return from around his feet either.

He goes long with a slice. Deuce.

The crowds stream back into Centre Court at the change of ends with plenty returning after a breather following that Djokovic match earlier.

Whispers go around the court as those that have been out tell the fellow spectators nearby what's happening on Court One. "Roger could be going out, you know".

We're still on serve on Centre. 4-3.

Now it's Roger Federer who's wavering... pure power and aggression from Kevin Anderson to batter away at the defending champion and make it 0-30.

The South African rattles the next one into the net, the Court One crowd can barely contain themselves. Anderson goes long, and Fed follows up with a sizzler of a serve that nearly knocks the eighth seed off his feet.

Big hold for Federer. They all are at this stage.
