What a point! What a celebration!

Lenglen is on its feet, hands clapping to the dozen as Djokovic wheels his arms in the air, demanding more noise.

Turning point in the game. Turning point in the match?

Novak Djokovic undercooks a drop shot so badly it comes off his strings blue. That barely reached the net.

And all of a sudden the next point is there for the taking for Bautista Agut - Djokovic stranded at the net after a lactic acid-enduing rally, but the Spaniard clips it back into his path when there was loads of clay to aim for.

Djokovic laps it up. And holds.

Djokovic is given some much-needed vocal support from the Lenglen crowd, who show their true allegiance for the first time.

To be fair, they'll be happy with their afternoon's entertainment whoever wins.

Sloppy backhand from Bautista Agut, dragging it into the tramlines.

The next point is all about the brilliance of Novak Djokovic, dancing on to a short ball and hammering it beyond the Spaniard.

Djokovic makes no mistake, he breaks back.

After all that hard work from Bautista Agut, he flops a backhand into the net and it's another break point for Djokovic.

Roberto Bautista Agut saves the first with a crosscourt backhand that has Novak Djokovic skidding the wrong way.

He saves the second too, darting towards the net to meet a high ball with a smash.

A powerful backhand exchange is only interrupted when Djokovic pops it to the Bautista Agut forehand, it works for the former world number one, who skips to mid-court and powers a forehand winner in to earn two break points.

Can the Spaniard serve out the third set?

Djokovic isn't planning on making it easy, he rushes to 0-30.

Still plenty of appetite for this ever-lengthening match among the Roland Garros crowd.

Traditionally there have been plenty of empty seats over a long lunch for the Parisians in the first week - not the case here on Lenglen. Most seats have bums on them with hungry fans nipping out and coming straight back.

Wish I'd brought a baguette...

Absolute precision again from Bautista Agut, his forehand is sizzling hot right now. Picking out the corners at will.

Djokovic can't muster a response. 0-30.

Fantastic. The Spaniard fandangos his way around a deep Djokovic return to take it on his forehand side and smash it down the line.
