Nimbus clouds are moving into view above a darkening Lenglen. Come on Mother Nature, don't ruin this match for us.

It's grey, breezier and threatening to spit with rain but... I don't think it will bucket it down.

    Bautista Agut 4-6 7-6 (8-6) 6-5 Djokovic*

Another superb lob from Novak Djokovic - how about that! This one was down around his feet, but somehow the former world number one picks it up and over his onrushing opponent before watching it clip the very edges of the baseline.

Bautista Agut just about closes out.

Novak Djokovic undercooks a drop shot so badly it comes off his strings blue. That barely reached the net.

And all of a sudden the next point is there for the taking for Bautista Agut - Djokovic stranded at the net after a lactic acid-enduing rally, but the Spaniard clips it back into his path when there was loads of clay to aim for.

Djokovic laps it up. And holds.

To be fair, they'll be happy with their afternoon's entertainment whoever wins.

Still plenty of appetite for this ever-lengthening match among the Roland Garros crowd.

Traditionally there have been plenty of empty seats over a long lunch for the Parisians in the first week - not the case here on Lenglen. Most seats have bums on them with hungry fans nipping out and coming straight back.

    Wish I'd brought a baguette...

    Bautista Agut 4-6 7-6 (8-6) 3-2 Djokovic*

Djokovic swings into a thumping forehand with similar aggression to the way he smashed his racquet half hour or so ago.

An ace follows. The Serb thinks he's added another, too, but that's just wide. It makes little difference, he hammers a backhand down the line to make it 40-0.
