This kind of feels like the final episode of your favourite television series. You know, when your heart yearns for more at the closing credits - even if it is just one more 45 minutes of drama.

That's all we could have left of Andy Murray's career. Although we hope he decides to come back for at least a one-off summer special...

There's not a seat to spare inside the Melbourne Arena.

It's a strange atmosphere. There's a roar from the crowd when Murray wins a point but it's almost as if they know there's nothing he can do at certain moments.

It's like they've accepted this and almost seem to be waiting until the end of the match.

There are so many emotions in this packed arena and apparently there are still people waiting to come in to see it.

A dart forward and a crushing forehand from Andy Murray brings proceedings level.

This time, Roberto Bautista Agut's lob drifts long and a swat of a forehead from the Spaniard goes over the baseline.

Oh! Roberto Bautista Agut does his best to cover the net but he gets lobbed by Murray. He chases down the return but Murray is there, waiting to put the volley away.

Bautista Agut promptly gets his own back by angling a lob just over Murray's head and in to the court, before Murray makes a mess of a drop shot.

    It's 15-30.

Murray clings on in a rally thanks to a superb cross-court whip, and Bautista Agut's return buries itself in the foot of the net.

30-0 becomes 30-30 as Bautista Agut's backhand goes wonky, but Murray's own floaty backhand doesn't clear the net.
