That approach shot felt like a bluff from Roger Federer, it gave Novak Djokovic plenty of time to line up the backhand pass to win the game.

    Djokovic* 7-6 (7-5) 1-6 7-6 (7-4) 4-6 4-2 Federer

Can Djokovic go a break up? Not on his first break point.

What about the second? YES. Wowzers. Federer can't stretch far enough to meet Djokovic's backhand.

Uh oh, Federer. Two unforced errors give Djokovic a 0-30 lead.

A lob from the Serb goes long. 15-30. But then Federer sends a backhand flying.

    Two break points.

There is just no warmth or really much applause for Novak Djokovic's big shots. It must be hard for Djokovic, he has done nothing wrong, he is just not Roger Federer.

  6. Djokovic stays ahead in final setpublished at 17:33 British Summer Time 14 July 2019

    Djokovic 7-6 (7-5) 1-6 7-6 (7-4) 4-6 3-2 Federer*

A much easier game for Novak Djokovic as he steamrolls his way to 40-0. Can he hold to love?

Nah. Not if Roger Federer has anything to do it. A lovely backhand winner.

Djokovic then shoots a forehand into the net. Make that two. DEUCE. AGAIN.

Federer fires long. Advantage Djokovic, which he takes.

I type this as the game goes on. You know how I said this was a much easier game for Djokovic? HA.

I think both men are looking tired.

Novak Djokovic is not going for the passing shots that he usually produces when his legs are strong.

I think whoever gets the first break in this final set will be able to see it out.

    Djokovic* 7-6 (7-5) 1-6 7-6 (7-4) 4-6 2-2 Federer

Djokovic scuppers his first break point. His second chance flies into the net. You lucky man, Roger Federer. DEUCE.

Federer then sends a shot wide and it's advantage Djokovic.

    Aaaaaand back to deuce.

A Djokovic forehand goes out. Advantage Federer - and he takes it to hold his service game. Fans go crazy.

  10. Big chance for Djokovicpublished at 17:25 British Summer Time 14 July 2019

    Djokovic 7-6 (7-5) 1-6 7-6 (7-4) 4-6 2-1 Federer*

Lucky. Novak Djokovic takes the first point with a little helping hand from the net cord, but Roger Federer levels.

A cross-court forehand lands out, and then he brings up 30-30 with an ace. Or not - let given. It clipped the net.

ANOTHER forehand goes wide. Two break points.

Novak Djokovic is once again targetting the Roger Federer backhand, but I think, unlike in the third-set tie-break, that wing is standing up well for the 20-time Grand Slam champion.

This is tight game - 30-30 as Djokovic slips on the grass.

40-40 as Federer FIRES a backhand down the line. The pace on that!

Djokovic responds with an ace right down the middle to bring up the advantage. His pre-serve bounces are getting longer each time.

He holds. Change of ends and a change of ballboys again.

    BBC Sport at Wimbledon

    Djokovic - 29-10.

    Federer - 30-21.

We're talking career five-set records here.

That suggests Novak will edge this one, as does that earlier stat about their respective records from the 2-1 lead which the Serb held.

Djokovic has won all seven Grand Slam finals where he's been 2-1 up, Federer has lost all eight of his finals from 2-1 down.

Sweet stuff from Roger Federer. Another ace brings up 40-0 but then he shoots long.

His wife can't look. Federer sends one into the net. 40-30.

But he's able to hold as a Djokovic baseline shot drifts over the line.

Djokovic races into a 30-0 lead but then gives away a point, sending a backhand into the net.

Federer moves towards the net but can't get his dropshot over. Djokovic holds as once again, the net gets in Fed's way.

I think Roger Federer looks fresher. His groundstrokes look more consistent, he has lost two tie-breaks but he won't have to worry about that until we get to 12-12 in the fifth.

I fancy Federer to win it.
