Philip West: It’s almost sacrilege to say it, but I believe that Serena Williams now has a mental block in Grand Slam finals. Where once she intimidated opponents, the opponents are now intimidating her.
Sulaimon Adelekan: Serena Williams is trying problem moving due to the fact that she has aged, Bianca Andreescu is dealing with the pace of the game and she is much younger.

I'm just getting worried for Serena, I have to be honest. Andreescu is not nervous, she sees this as a huge opportunity.
*Andreescu 4-2 Williams
Williams saves again, and this time, it's the American who gets the next advantage.
And what a shot to hold. She flies a fist into the air. That was such an important hold for her.

I've never seen a fist-pump after a challenge before but Serena's pulled it off.
Andreescu 4-2 Williams*
Williams sends an ace down the T, it's ruled in but Andreescu challenges. Hawk Eye proves it in by the SMALLEST margin. Merely a bit of fluff on the ball.
Deuce again before another fine winner from Andreescu, a cross-court forehand which Williams barely attempts to meet.
Fifth break point in this game.
Andreescu 4-2 Williams*
Nope, not this time either. Williams saves it again and back to deuce we go.
A brilliant exchange of shots but then Williams slams into the net.
Break point AGAIN.
Andreescu 4-2 Williams*
Not this time, again...
A shake of the heads from Andreescu as she misses the opportunity to go a double break up.
But a brilliant winner from the Canadian and it's her third break point of this game.
Andreescu 4-2 Williams*
Not this time. Williams brings up deuce with another ace down the middle, but then nets another backhand.
Break point again.
Andreescu 4-2 Williams*
Andreescu can't deal with Williams' opening two serves. She pulls a point back as Williams sends one into the net, and then another as the American shoots long.
Williams then flips a backhand wide and Andreescu has another break point.

At the moment, this is Serena's worst nightmare. Her opponent isn't fazed in the slightest.
Andreescu 4-2 Williams*
Andreescu races into a 30-0 lead but Williams responds with another cracking winner down the line. Perfectly placed.
An error from Andreescu and Williams is level, before the Canadian slams her second ace of the night down the T.
She holds. No sign of nerves at all in her first Grand Slam final.

With the Canadian border a short trip (well, for North America) up the road, it is not surprising that Andreescu has plenty of backing here as well.
Earlier a group of maple-leaf T-shirt wearing Canadians were giving a rallying cry of support for the benefit of television.

Andreescu deals with pace so well. She's just matching Serena here.
*Andreescu 3-2 Williams
An aggressive first point for Williams before Andreescu slams into the net from close range, after the American had delivered a return on the stretch at the baseline.
Andreescu bounces back before Williams delivers another ace before serving out the game.

Andreescu 3-1 Williams*
An easy 40-15 hold for Andreescu. Polite applause.

Williams plays that adrenaline well and she loves to put it right in the face of her opponent.

Big cheers inside Arthur Ashe as the Duchess of Sussex, sitting next to Williams' mum, is shown on the big screen.

That's the first time Williams has been broken since the first set of her fourth-round match against Petra Martic. In fact, it is the first time she has faced a break point since then.
