More drama than an Eastenders omnibus. That latest plot-twist is greeted by a chorus of boos.

How on earth did Rafa Nadal win that point?!

    Medvedev 5-7 3-6 7-5 6-4 2-5 Nadal*

Nadal defies a little slip to hammer home a winner down the line for the opening point.

But he double faults on the next - his fourth of the match.

And the next point, well my word. I literally can't describe it. They're both flying all over the place before Medvedev shoots wide. Utterly, utterly ridiculous! Nadal goes 30-15 up.

Medvedev's been everything but boring. He's really put in a fight and he's given everyone what they wanted.

If it is to be Nadal's title, let's pay tribute now to Medvedev. If he is to fall short, it will be through no fault of trying.

Medvedev goes 30-0 up but then scoops a lob well over the baseline and Nadal soon levels at 30-30.

He brings up break point with the most delicate of drop shots.

If Nadal can continue like this, it's going to be very difficult for Daniil Medvedev.

The roars from the crowd are so loud for each point Nadal wins that you'd think it was championship point.

Nadal races to 30-0, it looks as though he goes 40-0 up when a Medvedev shot goes out but the chair umpire overrules the line judge and rules it in. Second serve.

He makes it 40-0 at the next opportunity but then nets from about a metre out on the volley.

He holds after another spell-binding rally. This is just unbelievable tennis and that hold was very, very important for Nadal.
