An emotional Andy Murray, speaking on court to Amazon Prime: "It means a lot. Last few years have been extremely difficult.
"Both me and Stan have had a lot of injury problems in the last couple of years. It's amazing to be back, playing against him in the final like that. I think it was a great match.
"Stan was playing unbelievable. I just managed to hang in a bit at the end of the second set and the third set was extremely close again.
"I didn't expect to be in this position at all. I'm happy, very happy."

In January, he feared he'd played his last match.
He underwent a hip surgery that no singles player had ever returned from.
He won a doubles title at Queen's.
And now, he's won a singles title against a fellow three-time Grand Slam champion.
Andy Murray.

Andy Murray waves to the crowd and then breaks down in tears.
He goes over to his chair and hides his head in his towel.
I know I''ve just watched it but I genuinely cannot believe what I've just seen.

ANDY MURRAY!
Murray raises his arms above his head and looks in disbelief at his coaching box.
He's won. He's back. He's always been a champion but this is something else.
*Wawrinka 6-3 4-6 4-5 Murray
Deep breaths...
*Wawrinka 6-3 4-6 4-5 Murray
MY WORD!
Wawrinka nets a backhand, and it is championship point to Andy Murray.
*Wawrinka 6-3 4-6 4-5 Murray
Floaty from Wawrinka, too floaty, and the backhand drops over the baseline.
It's called out, corrected, Murray challenges, and it is out.
Back to deuce we go.
*Wawrinka 6-3 4-6 4-5 Murray
Murray steps in on that Wawrinka second serve but again, he just bunts his return long.
Advantage, Wawrinka...

Oh, this is so, so tense.
Deuce.
*Wawrinka 6-3 4-6 4-5 Murray
"COME ON!" comes the shout, as Wawrinka gets a big first serve in and Murray's return is long.
Advantage, Wawrinka...
*Wawrinka 6-3 4-6 4-5 Murray
He's got it!
A superb run from Murray to a Wawrinka drop shot, Murray flicks it over at the most delicate of angles, and somehow, we're at deuce!
