Wawrinka 6-3 4-4 Murray*
Stan Wawrinka gestures to the crowd, asking them to get behind him, as he wraps up that latest service game.
Wawrinka 6-3 4-4 Murray*
"What is that?!" grumbles Murray as he hoicks a backhand well long.
Wawrinka keeps inching in front but the errors that weren't there before are just gently creeping in, an easy forehand ending up in the net for 30-30.
Wow. That's an ace and a half from the Swiss, and he follows it up with a forehand winner to hold.
*Wawrinka 6-3 3-4 Murray
Stan's having a banana snack. Murray is chuntering to himself about.... something.
*Wawrinka 6-3 3-4 Murray
Backhand meets backhand, and it's Stan Wawrinka who shanks his long.
Oh, hello. An ace, a stonking forehand winner, and Andy Murray holds to 15.
He jogs to his chair at the changeover, a new spring in his step. How I've missed this.

Bells: Oh I’ve missed that roar!
Wawrinka 6-3 3-3 Murray*
A huge roar!
Stan Wawrinka plants his backhand into the net, and we're back on serve!
*Wawrinka 6-3 3-2 Murray
Long goes the Murray backhand...
One more chance...
*Wawrinka 6-3 3-2 Murray
That's one saved with a blistering forehand that has Murray furiously chuntering.
Two more to go...
*Wawrinka 6-3 3-2 Murray
Now then...
It's Andy Murray who is dictating play, timing his approaches properly, and Wawrinka drags an easy forehand wide to give Murray three break points.
*Wawrinka 6-3 3-2 Murray
A fist pump from Murray as he swings down two big first serves, and both of Wawrinka's returns drift long.
Never count Murray out.
Wawrinka 6-3 3-1 Murray*
And again, Stan Wawrinka misses a forehand on the baseline!
Hello, deuce.
Wawrinka 6-3 3-1 Murray*
Nice!
A thumping ace from Andy Murray takes us to 30-40...
Wawrinka 6-3 3-1 Murray*
An approach from Andy Murray but it's not convincing.
Wawrinka tries to pass him, Murray gets racquet to it... and nets!
Two break points for Stan.
Wawrinka 6-3 3-1 Murray*
This is brutal from Stan Wawrinka.
Winners, winners everywhere, and all Andy Murray can do is puff out his cheeks and shrug his shoulders.
Murray missing his first serve isn't helping, either, but Wawrinka gifts him a point with a backhand that he snatches into the net.
Wawrinka 6-3 3-1 Murray*
Stan's got his foot on the gas pedal.
Lovely winners are followed up by some long returns from Murray and the Swiss consolidates his break with a love hold.
*Wawrinka 6-3 2-1 Murray
OH!
Another peach of a backhand from Stan Wawrinka, right on the line, and he breaks.
Wawrinka 6-3 1-1 Murray*
What a shot! Down the line goes the Wawrinka backhand and there's enough spin and curl on it to just kiss the chalk before it flies past Murray.
Murray channels his frustration into a forehand smash but this is superb from Wawrinka, blasting winners left and right, and he's got himself two break points.
Wawrinka 6-3 1-1 Murray*
Stan Wawrinka smashes his way in front, and then after missing a first serve, he casually whacks down a second-serve ace to hold.
*Wawrinka 6-3 0-1 Murray
Andy Murray yells at himself, his coach, the tennis ball and anyone who is listening as he hacks a Wawrinka return into the net as he's caught on the run.
Close, very close, for Murray, as he tries to pass Wawrinka and misses, but a terrific sliced backhand from Murray acts a reminder of what he's capable of.
30-30.

A very accomplished first set by Wawrinka, who is also hoping to win his first ATP title for two and a half years.
He has served better than Murray, who had a few problems with his right elbow coming into the tournament.
This is the first time Murray has played four matches in four days since his return to the tour. Can he come from behind as he did in the semi-final yesterday?
