Djokovic 7-6 (7-1) 6-4 6-3 Federer
Novak Djokovic, speaking on court: "Roger was obviously hurt and credit to him for coming out and playing so well. He was obviously hurt and wasn't close to this best in terms of movement.
"At the start I was looking more at what he was doing than what I was doing but I managed to dig myself back into it. It was very important to do that.
"I knew he'd try to mix it up and come to the net but I tried to stay with him in the rallies and move him around instead."

It'll be either Alexander Zverev or Dominic Thiem who will await Novak Djokovic in Sunday's final.
Djokovic 7-6 (7-1) 6-4 6-3 Federer
There's a brief chat and slapping of backs at the net before Roger Federer exits the Rod Laver Arena.
Novak Djokovic was just too clinical for him in the end.

There it is!
Roger Federer nets a backhand and Novak Djokovic marches into the final.
It'll take an almighty performance to stop him nabbing title number eight.
*Djokovic 7-6 (7-1) 6-4 5-3 Federer
Block return of serve from Federer, but that's a divine move forward from Djokovic to flick the winner home.
Match point, Djokovic...
*Djokovic 7-6 (7-1) 6-4 5-3 Federer
Roger Federer is fully going for broke now, thrashing a forehand into the corner of the court.
Hi, 30-30.
*Djokovic 7-6 (7-1) 6-4 5-3 Federer
This time, Novak Djokovic misses his first serve and he's drawn into a rally, and it takes an almighty heave from Roger Federer to finally break through Djokovic's remarkable defences.
30-15.
*Djokovic 7-6 (7-1) 6-4 5-3 Federer
And again!
30-0.
*Djokovic 7-6 (7-1) 6-4 5-3 Federer
A thundering ace starts Novak Djokovic's service game.
15-0.
*Djokovic 7-6 (7-1) 6-4 5-3 Federer
No sooner is Roger Federer 30-0 up then Novak Djokovic produces a supreme backhand down the line to cancel out that advantage.
Again, Djokovic anticipates the serve out wide but he nets his return, and a skew-whiff shot means that Djokovic will have to serve this one out.

Can Federer ask the question of Djokovic?

After a shaky first set Novak Djokovic is playing solid, convincing tennis and the end is nigh.
Djokovic 7-6 (7-1) 6-4 5-2 Federer*
A huge cheers as Federer darts forward and hammers his own forehand winner, before he backhands a dinky winner at the net to go 0-30 up.
But Djokovic just does not go away, always forcing Federer to play an extra shot, and he quickly gets to game point before closing it out with a swipe down the line.
Federer will have to serve to stay in the match.
*Djokovic 7-6 (7-1) 6-4 4-2 Federer
Winner!
Lovely, looping forehand from Novak Djokovic, and he takes the break!
Djokovic 7-6 (7-1) 6-4 3-2 Federer*
Great shot from Djokovic!
He goes deep into the corner of the court and a stretching Federer can do little more than paddle it into the net.
Break point, Djokovic.
