    15-30.

Thiem's backhand down the line - which has been mixed - then creeps just inside bounds.

    15-40.

It almost seems like Djokovic doesn't have enough reserves in his body or he didn't eat enough, even small efforts look immense for him at the moment.

    *Djokovic 6-4 4-6 0-2 Thiem

    0-15.

0-30 as Djokovic serves up another double.

The Serb looks a bit green, and I don't mean his shirt.

    *Djokovic 6-4 4-6 0-2 Thiem

Thiem is gutsy as a base-jumper as he lands a forehand on the line.

The Austrian goes on to hold.

That was a big, big hold there.

    Djokovic 6-4 4-6 0-1 Thiem*

Djokovic takes hold of the baton on this point and conducts the orchestra - a volley at the net gives him a break chance.

    Djokovic 6-4 4-6 0-1 Thiem*

Djoko fails to get over the ball in attempting a backhand return - it smacks the netting.

Then a decent first serve from Thiem is too hot to handle for the Serb.

    30s each.

He's got great bouncebackability though, hasn't he?

A canny drop is followed up by Thiem going long from the back.

    0-30.

That is woeful from Djokovic, whose attempt at a double-handed backhand down the line is about a foot wide.

    Woeful.

    *Djokovic 6-4 4-6 0-0 Thiem

Djoko is saved by the cord as Thiem races in to plant a topspin forehand beyond his opponent's reach.

    Deuce.

    But then Djoko goes long.

    BP II.

    *Djokovic 6-4 4-6 0-0 Thiem

Thiem comes to the net and produces a drop which is too good for the Serb.

    30s each.

He then extends Djokovic to the max - his max isn't good enough.

    Break point.

    *Djokovic 6-4 4-6 0-0 Thiem

Thiem misses with that one-handed backhand again. He's going to continue with the high risk because it has paid off more often than not.

    15-15.

    30-15.

Djokovic starts the third set with a 'Muguruza'.

    Not good.

    Cheers AB.

I hope Djoko found a lot of comfort from his comfort break.

Good to see him acknowledge the good work of the umpire, when he said that he made himself famous in that second set.

Even an under pressure Djokovic had time to utter those kind words.

Anyway, the man in green is back on court.

Thiem did a good job already in the first set when he came back in the first set from 4-1 to 4-4.

The second set when it was 4-4 there was so much drama when Djokovic got the time violation. Those groundstrokes we saw from Thiem against Rafael Nadal are coming back again.

Djokovic is taking his bat home with him after that set. OK, maybe not home, but somewhere backstage. The second seed picks up one of his bags and disappears down the tunnel. Presumably he's gone to the toilet, not sure what's in the bag.
