Right on the money from Katie Boulter! Picking out the line on one side to draw Aryna Sabalenka wide and then finishing the point with a forehand that kisses the chalk on the other.

And now she's fist pumping some more! Another superbly executed lob, just patted over the second seed, and Boulter has two break back points.

The nerves have got to settle down... you don't want to overhit it or get too worked up. He's still a long way from home.

I'm impressed with his footwork. He was slipping and sliding early on, but he moves like a rabbit - little quick steps.

Aryna Sabalenka remains a break to the good, so there's some work for Katie Boulter to do but there's no doubting who the crowd are behind. A double fault from the second seed to start...

Oh, Katie Boulter! That's sublime, and so casual. Unbelievable disguise to wrong-foot Aryna Sabalenka at the net with a clever backhand. She backs it up with a wrist-rattling serve but then cups a forehand into the tape from mid-court. Sighs around Centre Court. 40-15. Sabalenka senses a way back into this one and fires a bullet of a backhand winner down the line.

Evans is getting more pop on the forehand now. The question is when does he accelerate? When does he pull the trigger?

He changes the pace of the rally beautifully with the backhand, but with the forehand he keeps it the same pace all the time.

Not seen the sun much this week, but I'm pleased to report there are warm rays hitting pasty skin.

A healthy amount of people dotted around the grounds, including on the row of outside courts sandwiched in-between Centre and One.

In the distant you can spot a half-full Henman Hill where bums are finally able to sit on dry grass.

    Evans* 6-3 4-2 Lajovic

So far, so very good for Dan Evans.

After another hold, Evans opens fire on the Lajovic serve with a ferocious forehand to move 0-15 up.

At 15-30, Evans can only find the net as Lajovic closes in - but an error from the Serb hands Evans break point.

He strikes, and the British number one is now a set and a break up on Court One.
