After losing the first set, Russian Andrey Rublev now has the upper hand against Hungarian Márton Fucsovics.

Fifth seed Rublev has just wrapped up the third set, clinching it on serve with his fourth ace of the match, to take a 2-1 lead.

Blimey. Karen Khachanov holds now too.

Three hours and 45 minutes on the clock and it appears both players may have rediscovered their serve, as we edge closer to a fifth set tie-break which would come in to play should we reach 12-12.

It's been on the cards and now Djokovic gets it done. He's at the net, imposing, Garin twice tries to flick it past him and twice fails, that's a break for Djokovic, who is a set and a break up.

Probably, soon to be two sets up.

Garin grimaces as he fiddles with his strings. Last thing he needed after that lengthy previous service hold was to get the ball again within a minute or two.

Garin takes 12 minutes to hold, but it's far, far easier for the world number one as Djokovic bangs down four points in quick time for a rapid hold. Now back to Garin...

Canada's Denis Shapovalov is fully in control of his last-16 tie against Spaniard Roberto Bautista Agut. Both players have exchanged breaks in the third set on court three but it's hard to look past Shapovalov for this one.

You get the feeling that was a crucial hold for Garin in a game that lasted more than 12 minutes.

It would have been dispiriting to put in all that effort and get no return, but, just about, we're still on serve in the second set.

The American limps off slightly as both players head for a well-earned breather.

Can Khachanov settle this at the third time of asking, after three hours and 33 minutes of play? I have absolutely no idea.

At the moment, Djokovic is just putting his foot on the pedal when he needs to. But you sense his frustration of not nabbing one of these break points.

The Serb stands cross-legged, balancing like a gymnast on a beam, as he watches that second break point go begging with a wayward forehand.

After the third he puts both hands on hips and glares at his team.

Brilliant sprinting from Djokovic at full pelt to get to a drop shot he looked like having no chance of reaching.

Not only does he get there, he produces a gorgeous angled drop shot of his own to get to break point.

We're still in the seventh game, but now it's been deuce five times. Garin clinging on to the game, for now.

A nice moment at the net as the two players shake hands, and Ash Barty has some warm words for her opponent.
