    Raducanu 3-3 Tomljanovic*

A 'come on' from Raducanu welcomes in a fine winner, and the crowd grow into the occasion further as Tomljanovic fails to get a meaningful connection on the teenager's powerful serve.

A true passing shot seals a hold to love!

  2. 'Let her play and develop'published at 20:20 British Summer Time 5 July 2021

    Anne Keothavong
    Former British number one

When you watch her on the court, she brings good energy... the desire is very strong, and she wants it.

Let's keep it real - let her play - let her develop but she's going to be an even better player than we've seen this week.

    *Raducanu 2-3 Tomljanovic

Raducanu, looking to apply some pressure to the Tomljanovic serve, whacks a forehand into the net to bring the longest rally of the match to a close. 30-15.

Tomljanovic moves on to another satisfactory hold.

There's very little to separate these two so far...

    Raducanu 2-2 Tomljanovic *

    Martina Navratilova

Maybe it's better to have a dicey hold and your nerves settle down than an easy hold at the start of the match.

    Federer 7-5 6-4 6-2 Sonego

Roger Federer on his next opponent, who have yet to finish their fourth-round match: "It is not fair for anyone. I have been in these situations before - but these guys are young and they can recover! Unfortunately they are very, very good too, so hopefully it rains again tomorrow... I'm kidding, I'm kidding!"

  6. Raducanu holdspublished at 20:16 British Summer Time 5 July 2021

    Raducanu 2-2 Tomljanovic*

A mini fist pump from Raducanu as she moves back on level terms at 15-15, and another as Tomljanovic fails to send the ball back in play from the baseline.

The 18-year-old holds once more as Tomljanovic goes long and it is certainly so far, so good for Raducanu.

  9. Move Tomljanovic as much as possiblepublished at 20:13 British Summer Time 5 July 2021

    Martina Navratilova
Nine-time Wimbledon singles champion on BBC TV

Ajla Tomljanovic is a tough opponent - big hitter, big serve, tough forehand.

Raducanu needs to move her as much as possible, use the angles. If you can make her forward using low balls - that would be my game plan.

  10. Tomljanovic holdspublished at 20:12 British Summer Time 5 July 2021

    *Raducanu 1-2 Tomljanovic

Despite the Court One crowd almost entirely against here, Tomljanovic has made an encouraging start in her own first fourth round appearance at a Grand Slam.

The Australian moves to 40-15, but the crowd get excited once more as Tomljanovic nets for 40-30.

Still, she holds, and we remain on serve after three games.

Look at her - she's just so joyful on the court.

She has such a complete game for somebody so young.

    Raducanu 1-1 Tomljanovic*

Perhaps a little over-excited, Raducanu overhits a shot and hands Tomljanovic an early break point.

But there's no panic on the 18-year-old's face, and she completes an important hold as Tomljanovic strikes into the net.

    Raducanu on the board.

Roger, you'll have to serve this one out.

    Federer 7-5 6-4 5-1 Sonego*

Federer almost guides the ball onto his face as he tries to get his backhand behind a serve.

Mind you, he absolutely nails a forehand cross-court to move to 40-30.

  20. Control the controllablespublished at 20:06 British Summer Time 5 July 2021

    Tim Henman
Former British number one on BBC TV

You've really got to do a good job controlling the cotrollables. Raducanu's got a great team around her and she can draw on that experience and not get distracted.
