Here's what's been happening on day four at the US Open:

• British teenager Emma Raducanu swept aside China's Zhang Shuai to reach the US Open third round.
• Women's world number one Ashleigh Barty is through following victory over Danish teenager Clara Tauson.
• Belinda Bencic, Iga Swiatek & Petra Kvitova have also advanced in the women's draw.
• Men's German fourth seed Alexander Zverev cruised to victory over Spain's Albert Ramos-Vinolas in straight sets.
• Sixth seed Matteo Berrettini is currently in action against Corentin Moutet, while world number one Novak Djokovic faces Tallon Griekspoor in the night session.

Here's what German fourth seed Alexander Zverev had to say in his on-court interview:

"It's great I'm through in three sets and I've played under an hour and a half. I will need that energy for further matches.

"I knew it would be a difficult match but I'm happy I only lost four games today."

That took one hour and 14 minutes.

A real walk in the park for Olympic champion Alexander Zverev, who will be hoping to improve on his runner-up finish at the US Open last year.

Back to back aces and it's three match points for Zverev.

To his credit, Ramos-Vinolas comes back.

Zverev takes him to deuce, but the Spaniard pulls out an ace to take the game.

Time for Zverev to serve this out.

Does Albert Ramos-Vinolas want to extend this match a little longer? Not as much as Zverev wants it over.

The German takes a 0-30 lead and is two points from a straight-set win.

Zverev fires a cross-court backhand winner for 15-0 and another accurate backhand makes it 40-0.

It's American Jack Sock or Kazakhstan's Alexander Bublik next for the winner of this, by the way. They meet later today.

Meanwhile, Ramos-Vinolas eases to a confidence-boosting hold to 15 to make it 4-2.

Zverev still won't give much away on serve, though.

The German starts things off with an ace and another hold is confirmed as a looping forehand from Ramos-Vinolas goes long.

Zverev gets the first point on the Spaniard's serve but Ramos-Vinolas battles back with a volley winner and wins four consecutive points to hold. On the board.

Kvitova did well to shut Pliskova out and make sure she gets the job done. She can really build momemtum. When it steadily build, which is what she is doing at the moment, it's usually where she's able to go on a deep run.

Petra Kvitova is through.

A solid performance from the Czech 10th seed. She wins 7-6 (7-4) 6-2 against compatriot Kristyna Pliskova.

It's certainly no Murray v Tsitsipas this. Zverev has hardly broken a sweat.

Ramos-Vinolas just can't trouble the German's serve and a hold to love makes it 3-0 in the third.
