  7. Grand Slams offer 'support and assistance' to Osakapublished at 17:22 British Summer Time 1 June 2021

The four Grand Slams have offered their "support and assistance" to Naomi Osaka after the four-time major champion pulled out of the French Open yesterday.

Osaka, 23, withdrew from the tournament after the Grand Slams - Australian Open, French Open, Wimbledon and US Open - said she faced expulsion for not talking to the media.

The Japanese world number two originally said she did not want to do interviews to protect her mental health, then revealed in yesterday's statement that she has been suffering with "bouts of depression".

"We commend Naomi for sharing in her own words the pressures and anxieties she is feeling and we empathise with the unique pressures tennis players may face," said the Grand Slams.

Serve and volle...oh, no! It was on a plate for Popyrin, but comes off the strings blue. He just undercooked it and instead leaks his volley into the net.

    Naomi Cavaday
BBC Radio 5 Live Sports Extra commentator

It does show elements of Popryin's game can be effective and he's a break up in this third set.

This service game is so key to back up the break.

Really has shut Nadal out of his service games.
