    Swiatek 0-3 Cornet*

Some signs of life from Swiatek at 30-all but the mistakes keep coming - we're only in the fourth game but she just racked up her 11th unforced error of the match by swiping a backhand long on the next point.

This doesn't surprise me because Alize Cornet has beaten so many former top players. 23 times she has beaten a top 10 player - she has so much experience at 32-years-old.

Iga Swiatek is reading some notes and that is smart because things can start moving really fast.

It's a procession of Brits in the doubles today.

Top seed Joe Salisbury and American partner Rajeev Ram are a game away from taking the first set of their men's doubles second-round match against French-Monagasque combination Fabrice Martin and Hugo Nys.

    Badosa v Kvitova

On Centre Court, Czech fourth seed Paula Badosa is taking on two-time former champion Petra Kvitova.

While 32-year-old Kvitova continues her quest for a third Wimbledon crown, Spain's Badosa is looking to reach the last 16 for the second year in a row.

  5. Swiatek goes a double break downpublished at 16:15 British Summer Time 2 July 2022

    Swiatek 0-3 Cornet*

    This wasn't in the script.

Swiatek isn't happy, and for good reason, as she slides to 0-30 after mis-timing a forehand, and is in more trouble.

Cornet is mixing up the pace of her shots, and it is working. She moves to 15-40 by forcing another error out of the world number one with a slow looping return, and then breaks her serve for the second time by smashing a forehand straight down the line. Brutal stuff.

    *Swiatek 0-2 Cornet

A mixed bag from both players so far - they have both made mistakes, mostly by hitting too big, but at the moment Swiatek is making more of them.

  7. Swiatek broken in first gamepublished at 16:08 British Summer Time 2 July 2022

    Swiatek 0-1 Cornet*

Swiatek starts as she means to go on, by going on the attack - but her timing is not quite right yet.

Cornet causes her problems with some aggressive returns of her own and some wild groundstrokes by Swiatek see the ball fly high, wide and long... and she drops her serve right at the start of this match.

    Swiatek v Cornet

Alize Cornet is playing in her record-equalling 62nd consecutive Grand Slam event, tied with Japan's former world number eight Ai Sugiyama.

The 32-year-old's best finish to date is reaching the quarter-finals of the Australian Open earlier this year.

Iga Swiatek hasn't lost a match since February. Grass might not be her favourite surface but beating her, anywhere, is clearly a very big ask.

    Gauff 7-6 (7-4) 2-6 1-6 Anisimova

Amanda Anisimova, who has just beaten Coco Gauff, tells BBC Sport: "It was my first time playing on Centre Court and this is the most special day of my career.

"It's just a huge privilege to play on this court playing Coco. She is an amazing player, got to the final of a Grand slam so I wanted to soak up the moment. Winning is so special, especially in front of a full crowd - you guys were amazing.

"The worst thing for a tennis player is to lose 7-6 in the first set. I had the same experience in the French Open but it's important to bounce back and give everything you have. Although it was extremely exhausting, I pushed through and was so happy to get the win.

"There are so many American players doing well and I'm proud of my country and how we have been doing. It was really exciting to have an all-American clash on this court so it was really special."

    Swiatek v Cornet

A two-time French Open champion and an Australian Open semi-finalist earlier this year, IgaSwiatek would equal her best run at Wimbledon by beating French world number 37 Cornet on Court One.

But she admitted she is still getting to grips with the grass.

"I guess you can see that I'm not playing maybe as efficiently as on other surfaces," she said.

"I would play well on grass if I would have kind of more time to just play on this surface. Every year it [the grass court season] is only like four weeks, so I feel it's not enough to learn properly."

So, so impressive from Amanda Anisimova. That win clearly means a lot to her as she falls to the ground and lies on her back before getting up to acknowledge the Centre Court crowd.

It's been a rough three years for personal and professional reasons since she reached the 2019 French Open semi-finals as a 17-year-old, but she looks ready to challenge at the business end of majors again. On today's evidence, she will take some stopping.

    Gauff 7-6 (7-4) 2-6 1-6 Anisimova

Amanda Anisimova has moved into the fourth round of Wimbledon for the first time as she fought back from a set down to beat fellow American Coco Gauff.

Anisimova, 20, was playing on Centre Court for the first time and gained a 6-7 (4-7) 6-2 6-1 victory over the 18-year-old French Open runner-up. It means Anisimova, the 20th seed, has reached the last 16 of all three Grand Slam tournaments this year.

She will next play France's Harmony Tan, who is ranked 115th in the world. However, Tan has been in great form in these championships.

She defeated seven-time Wimbledon champion Serena Williams in round one, eliminated Spain's 32nd seed Sara Sorribes Tormo in the second round and thrashed Britain's Katie Boulter 6-1 6-1 earlier on Saturday.

Coming up shortly on Court One is world number one Iga Swiatek, as she takes on Alize Cornet for a place in the fourth round.

This match could see top seed Swiatek extend her winning streak to 38 matches, a total unmatched since German legend Steffi Graf won 66 in a row in 1989-90.

Coco Gauff brings up a break point with another extremely fortuitous net cord but Amanda Anisimova quickly snuffs it out with an emphatic backhand into the corner, well out of Gauff's reach. It felt like a statement shot. And when she wraps up the next two points and holds, she is just two games away from the last 16. Gauff is a Centre Court favourite but the crowd are really appreciating what they're seeing from Anisimova.

Amanda Anisimova clears another hurdle by saving two break points on her way to an excellent hold. She's 4-1 ahead in the decider and it's going to take some recovery for Coco Gauff to rescue this one.
