"What's he complaining about?" ask the Aussie fans when Murray strides over to chat to the umpire.
Whatever it was, he can't complain about Kokkinakis going 3-0 ahead.
Just the 120mph second serve down the middle from the home favourite.

It's a close call, and Murray has a word with the umpire, but it's electric line-calls so the Brit's forehand was definitely out. 2-0 to Kokkinakis.
No mistaking that ace down the midd. 3-0.
Murray 4-6 6-6 Kokkinakis
A lengthy rally follows Murray's second serve and he comes to the net to try and bring it to an end. He does bring it to an end... by batting the ball into the net. Kokkinakis takes a 1-0 lead.

It is starting to get very exciting here. It feels like the match is right here. For Andy Murray - surely now or never.
Murray 4-6 6-6 Kokkinakis
Kokkinakis stutters momentarily as he sends a backhand into the net, but Murray repays the favour as his forehand goes the same way.
On to the tie-break.

Murray's return goes into the net to make it 30-0 and another solid serve brings up 40-0.
One point away from a second-set tie-break.

So Kokkinakis is serving to stay in the set now.
He looks to have shaken off that last game as he comes forward to bat down a volley winner for 15-0.

You can never write off Murray but it would be hard to see him come back from two sets to love down after the other day.

You knew Kokkinakis had to have a wobble at some point and it couldn't have come at a worse possible time for the Aussie.
If he had kept his nerve and moved two sets ahead then it would have been difficult to see Murray fight back.
But now...?

This is pure Andy Murray. Putting us all through a load of stress before he comes out swinging.
Very much feels like he has the mental edge over Kokkinakis currently. He's even got the net back on side too. A forehand teeters on the top before dribbling over onto Kokkinakis' side of the court to give Murray his hold.

No time to take a breath, Murray is serving now.
At 15-0 up, Murray looks like he's about to land a stylish lob but... it lands long.
15-15.

The first serve has deserted Kokkinakis for the first time today. Andy Murray saves three set points and he points to his temple - he says I've got a strong mind to go with my iron will.
Suddenly Murray is playing beautiful tennis.

Turning point?
The Aussie fans were desperately trying to encourage their man over the line in this set.
Green and gold was being waved all around Margaret Court Arena - even in the shape of an inflatable kangaroo.
Instead it was Murray and the sprinkling of Brits in the crowd who were celebrating at the end of that game.
The clock in Melbourne has just ticked past midnight and, like all good nights out, it feels like the party is really getting started now.

He's done it!
Murray's grunts hit desperate decibels and it pays off. Kokkinakis' forehand goes wide and Murray points at his temple, as if suggesting he has the mental will to get through this match.
He's kept himself in this set at least.
Murray 4-6 4-5 Kokkinakis*
Double fault!
A second break point.
Nerves?
Murray 4-6 4-5 Kokkinakis*
So brave again from Murray!
He isn't playing it safe at all. He goes for a backhand drop-shot, but the Australian gets there.
Murray is forced to go for the lob and Kokkinakis gets his feet in a twist. We're back at deuce.
Murray 4-6 4-5 Kokkinakis*
Set up with a forehand winner, can the Australian finish it off this time?
Murray 4-6 4-5 Kokkinakis*
The momentum swings in this match... Margaret Court is on its feet.
Murray stretches for a backhand but can't get to it and that's deuce.

RETURN.
Murray slaps Kokkinakis' serve back at him down the line to set up break point.
