Court 12 is right down at the bottom of the grounds of Wimbledon, close to many of the food and drink outlets where you can get pizza, hotdogs and of course, Pimm’s.

There is a smell of all that wafting over and it’s making me rather peckish. Maybe it would be helpful motivation as a player.

    Think of the pizza…

Viktoriya Tomova keeps herself just about in this, sealing her service game with an ace.

If she can get a break now it would make things interesting. Katie Boulter needs to hold her nerve.

    Ace to seal it!

If there were any nerves over serving out the set, Liam Broady did not display them. He was helped a bit by a very poor returning game from Casper Ruud there.

    We're going the distance, folks.

Two long returns from Casper Ruud. 30-0. And then he finds the net. Three set points for Liam Broady to level this second-round match.

    Super stuff from Boulter.

Halfway through that game the Brit was up against it but there was a cry from the crowd ‘ride the wave Katie!’ and she’s managed to do just that.

You feel she’s well on her way, now.

For me it's the body language of Ruud. It's all wrong, it's all negative and it's all confused.

    *Broady 6-4 3-6 4-6 5-3 Ruud

Bit of gamesmanship or experience from Casper Ruud here?

Goes to his chair to change racquets, giving Liam Broady an extra few seconds to contemplate the magnitude of this game.

    Tomova 0-6 6-3 1-4 Boulter*

Katie Boulter is close, but a double fault at 40-15 seems to unsettle her and then a return into the net makes it deuce.

Boulter digs deep, winning the next point and then slamming in an ace to seal what feels an important hold.

    *Broady 6-4 3-6 4-6 5-3 Ruud

Liam Broady would have liked to make Casper Ruud work harder for that service hold.

Now the pressure is all on the left-hander from Stockport - can he serve out the set and level the match?

On Court One, American Sloane Stephens is on level terms with 20th seed Donna Vekic of Croatia in the opening set.

Switzerland’s Belinda Bencic, the 14th seed, and American Danielle Collins are also level in the first set on court two.

Fifth seed Caroline Garcia is down a set after 2021 US Open finalist Leylah Fernandez took the opener 6-3. That’s happening on court three.

After losing the first set, Brazil’s Beatriz Haddad Maia won the second 6-2 against Jaqueline Cristian on court 14.

Meanwhile, the deciding set between Jelena Ostapenko and Sorana Cirstea has gone to a tie-break.

Katie Boulter hits a couple of good forehand winners down the line to take this fourth game to deuce.

A backhand shot into the corner gives Boulter break point but Tomova isn't letting go that easily and fights back to hold.

Liam Broady hasn't got the biggest serve, but he's hit three right in the corner and on the line.

    Broady 6-4 3-6 4-6 5-2 Ruud*

Three hugely accurate Liam Broady serves help him 40-0 up - he lands a fourth too but then sends his forehand just long.

No matter, as Ruud gift-wraps the hold with a ballooned forehand that goes miles out.

Liam Broady fought back from 40-0 to take that game to deuce but could not quite convert the chance to claim a double break.

A good hold by Katie Boulter, who is really fighting back after losing that second set.

She feels in control of this match now with some good confident hitting in this third game of the decisive set.

Casper Ruud - the body language isn't there, the energy isn't there, the shot selection isn't there - at the moment it's all Liam Broady.

Well-watched overhead deposited by Liam Broady, who is then relieved to see a misjudged lob from Casper Ruud float well out.

A lovely whipped forehand winner later and Broady remains a break up in set four.

    Annabel Croft
Former British number one on BBC TV

I think we'll see the Boulter of set one. She had a bit of a wobble in that second set but she's re-composed herself and she's gone back to being very aggressive, and I think Tomova has gone back to hitting to her backhand, which is very favourable for Boulter.

    Eeeeek!

A drama-filled game as Boulter gets back-to-back net cords.

That was very lucky for the Brit, the crowd loved it but Tomova not so much.

Boulter waved an apology both times but what can you do? Is what it is.
