    Tomova 0-6 3-3 Boulter*

A routine win for Katie Boulter and it is 3-3. We're 27 minutes into this second set - Boulter had wrapped the first one up in that time but is being put under more pressure now.

    *Tomova 0-6 3-2 Boulter

You hear quite a lot from around Wimbledon on this court as the sound of Andrey Rublev being interviewed on court two following his win against Aslan Karatsev filters across.

Both keep their focus here, though, as Viktoriya Tomova draws Katie Boulter up to the net before playing a really good cross court winner to lead 40-15.

Boulter pulls it back with a rasping forehand into the corner but Tomova takes the next point to lead 3-2.

    Broady 6-4 3-6 4-5 Ruud*

Goodness me, Liam Broady, beautiful backhand volley at the net wrongfoots Casper Ruud and, having saved two set points, he now has a break point up his sleeve.

Brilliant return from Broady right on the line but it's called out! The umpire overrules and we replay the point - which goes to Ruud after some no-fear big-hitting forehands.

    Broady 6-4 3-6 4-5 Ruud*

And another! A big Ruud serve earns another set point but again Broady plays it excellently and the Norwegian goes long after a big rally.

  5. Broady saves set pointpublished at 15:49 British Summer Time 6 July 2023

    Broady 6-4 3-6 4-5 Ruud*

Unstoppable forehand from Casper Ruud is past Liam Broady before he can blink, to elicit set point.

But Broady plays a brilliant, brilliant point to save it, finishing off with a lovely dinked drop shot.

    Tomova 0-6 2-2 Boulter*

It is much more even now as Katie Boulter holds on serve. Both are firmly in their groove and it is all square in the second set.

    Broady 6-4 3-6 4-5 Ruud*

Now then, cracking backhand from Liam Broady and Casper Ruud slips in failing to return it. 15-30. Can the Brit break back to stay in the set?

  8. 'He didn't go for it'published at 15:46 British Summer Time 6 July 2023

    Broady 6-4 3-6 4-5 Ruud*

    John Lloyd
Former GB Davis Cup captain on BBC TV

It looked to me like Broady didn't accelerate enough off those second serves. He just didn't go for it.

  9. 'Momentum going against Broady - and it is self-inflicted'published at 15:45 British Summer Time 6 July 2023

    Broady 6-4 3-6 4-5 Ruud*

    Greg Rusedski
Former British number one on BBC Radio 5 Live

He needs to play it one point at a time. That old cliche.

Right now the momentum is going against Broady - and it is self-inflicted.

  10. Broady broken, Ruud serves for setpublished at 15:44 British Summer Time 6 July 2023

    *Broady 6-4 3-6 4-4 Ruud

Oh, Liam Broady, what have you done.

Saves two break points with some fine tennis, including a blistering forehand volley.

But then a double fault, his second of the game, concedes the break and Ruud will serve for a two-sets-to-one lead.

    Tomova 0-6 2-1 Boulter*

    Jess Anderson
    BBC Sport at Wimbledon

    Better from Boulter!

After coming unstuck a little in those first two games she’s broken straight back with a glorious winner.

She looks to her team with a fist pump, she’s back on track.

  12. Boulter breaks backpublished at 15:44 British Summer Time 6 July 2023

    Tomova 0-6 2-1 Boulter*

Not quite Jess [15:41], because Katie Boulter battles back!

Viktoriya Tomova does well to hang in at deuce with a good couple of rallies but Katie Boulter shows her determination to break back immediately.

  13. Three break points for Ruudpublished at 15:42 British Summer Time 6 July 2023

    *Broady 6-4 3-6 4-4 Ruud

    He was looking at home.

But then a double fault and long forehand bring up three break points for Casper Ruud...

  14. 'So many changes and adaptations for Ruud'published at 15:42 British Summer Time 6 July 2023

    *Broady 6-4 3-6 4-4 Ruud

    Naomi Cavaday
    BBC Sport tennis commentator

This is what the Broady camp want. For Ruud there are so many changes and adaptations, father Christian is signalling from the box, and it is just very difficult and uncomfortable for the number four in the world, and Broady is looking relatively at home.

    *Broady 6-4 3-6 4-4 Ruud

Casper Ruud's first serve went missing in parts of the first and second sets but he's found it now.

Another easy hold for the Scandinavian.

  17. Postpublished at 15:40 British Summer Time 6 July 2023

    Tomova* 2-0 Boulter

Katie Boulter produces a brilliant return from an equally brilliant serve and that prompts a much-needed roar from the crowd.

It sets her on the way to having the chance to break straight back but a great rally goes Viktoriya Tomova's way and it is deuce.

    This match is hotting up.

  18. Watching Wimbledon 'Wannabes'published at 15:40 British Summer Time 6 July 2023

    Jonathan Jurejko
    BBC Sport at Wimbledon

Amazing who you bump into on Centre Court.

And, as anyone who has been knows, it is almost literal when you're briskly walking through the narrow white-walled gangways.

Anyway, who did I nearly knock shoulders with? Only Spice Girl Mel C!

Wearing a smart pink suit, it was easy to spot her. That outfit choice certainly spiced up my life.

Sporty Spice is with her mum Joan and the pair have plenty of Wimbledon Wannabes to keep their eyes on.

    Broady 6-4 3-6 4-3 Ruud*

    Feliciano Lopez

Broady's dad is telling him to be closer to the baseline. I think that is a good idea.

  20. Still on serve on Centrepublished at 15:39 British Summer Time 6 July 2023

    Broady 6-4 3-6 4-3 Ruud*

We said not much was happening against serve on Centre but a couple of Broady errors bring up 30-30 at three games all.

He responds with a neat backhand volley winner at the net and then a serve-drop-shot combo as Casper Ruud pays the price for returning from so deep.
