    What a rally!

Cat and mouse tennis as Svitolina and Mertens go toe to toe but the Belgian misjudged her drop shot and it falls just shy of the net.

That was an important point for Svitolina to hold her serve and keep the momentum going.

A very good hold from 0-30 down as Choinski wins four on the bounce to get on the board first in the third set.

He's not playing bad tennis is the Brit. It's just those crucial moments where Hurkacz has always been a step above.

It’s testament to Jan Choinski’s work ethic and talent that he’s pushing a player who has gone far here at Wimbledon.

The 27-year-old has played little on grass - which looked clear in his first match of the British summer swing at Nottingham.

But he’s gained more confidence, trusting his footing and movement which has laid the platform for his improved performances.

    Colin Fleming
Former British tennis player on BBC TV

A carbon copy of the 4-4 game in the opening set. I don’t want to be overly critical of Choinski, but he has gone into his shell just enough to give Hurkacz the initiative.

You can see he is frustrated.

Well whatever was in Svitolina’s eye was clearly the thing causing her problems in the second set!

She’s managed to find an early break and looks well on her way to taking the win, unless Mertens can find some of that form she dug out earlier.
