It is currently incredibly busy trying to move around the grounds. If you don’t pick your moment to move correctly it can take a long time to get around.

Many people will now be looking to take their seats on the larger courts after soaking up the action on the outside ones this morning.

It’s also getting towards drinks and lunch o clock so there’s extra traffic around because of that.

I've lost count of the amount of love-holds Hubert Hurkacz has produced today. Maybe 10? 11? 12?

Well he races to another and it's 3-3 in the third.

Over on the practice courts, world number one Carlos Alcaraz and British number one Cameron Norrie are in the middle of an hour-long training hit, as they both try to stay sharp, alternating between a number of impressive routines, including volleys, overheads and serves.

They are both progressing nicely in the men's singles and are among those that have, unlike some players, completed their opening matches.

Spain's Alcaraz gained a 6-0 6-2 7-5 win over France's Jeremy Chardy with another Frenchman in the shape of Alexandre Muller waiting in round two.

For Norrie, the 12th seed, he has had a bit more time on court, needing four sets to see off Tomas Machac of the Czech Republic 6-3 4-6 6-1 6-4 in the first round, with American world number 43 Christopher Eubanks looking to knock him out in round two.

Alcaraz and Norrie are both in the top half of the draw so will meet each other in the semi-finals if they keep winning. Judging by the quality of the rallies in practice, it would be some match.

One of the interested observers sitting on the balcony overlooking Court 18 is British Davis Cup captain Leon Smith.

Smith was the person who Choinski called - out of the blue - to get the process of changing allegiance moving in 2019.

While he knew there would be no funding for a player of his age and ranking, Choinski still made the switch with the carrot of potential wildcards during the British grass swing if he performed.

That’s been the case and the £55k he has earned from beating Dusan Lajovic in the first round will prove very handy indeed.

Choinski has showed the willingness to play and travel a lot, so his Wimbledon pay day will be put to great use.

Not great from Jan Choinski who, from 30-0 up, finds himself 30-40 down thanks to two loose backhands.

Sealed at the first time of asking as Mertens sends one long!

Svitolina into the third round with a great win over the Belgian.

She says in her on-court interview she tried to move her legs more in the final set… It worked!

There’s been plenty of signs that Choinski has a good game. But I don’t think his team will be under any illusions of where it’s gone wrong today.

Two 4-4 games in both sets where he has got a bit tight. He has to accept that and use it as motivation for more matches at this level.

Kitted out in their matching Wimbledon white polos and caps, and both standing at almost two metres tall, watching Choinski and Hurkacz feels like you’re seeing double.

Imagine what it was like when they played doubles here together as juniors. Like a Eastern Bloc Bryan Bros.

Choinski is a little broader in the shoulders than Hurkacz these days - not surprising when he devours 5000 calories a day as he looks to build his body fit for purpose on the ATP Tour.

Great win for her if she can seal this having been up against it in the second set.

She’s given herself three match points to do it.
