  1. Shapovalov saves break points to holdpublished at 19:10 British Summer Time 7 July 2023

    Shapovalov 4-6 6-2 7-5 3-3 Broady*

The break points come and go for Broady, who wastes his final opportunity (for now) with a mishit forehand.

Another chance is going to come his way though...

Argh, frustrating. Broady looks on from behind the baseline as a third break point disappears, before Shapovalov wriggles free.

  2. Swiatek breaks againpublished at 19:10 British Summer Time 7 July 2023

    *Swiatek 5-2 Martic

Elegant from Iga Swiatek who starts Petra Martic's latest service game with a flying backhand winner.

A double fault brings up three break points and Martic duly puts a sliced backhand into the net.

Momentum with the top seed who has broken three in a row.

  3. Jabeur one game away from third roundpublished at 19:10 British Summer Time 7 July 2023

    Jabeur 6-1 5-1 Bai*

Ons Jabeur's serve falters with a double fault and Bai Zhuoxuan gets a break point at 30-40.

The chance comes and goes with Jabeur winning the next three points, wrapping up her service game with a lovely little backhand drop-shot.

Jabeur gets a triple break point before Bai misjudges a backhand return.

The Chinese world number 191 will have to serve to stay in the match.

    *Shapovalov 4-6 6-2 7-5 2-3 Broady

A double fault from Denis Shapovalov. Can Liam Broady build on this?

He can! He backs his opponent into a corner, a couple of misses setting up two break points.

A massive opportunity for the Briton as he aims to force a fifth set.

  5. Swiatek backs up her breakpublished at 19:07 British Summer Time 7 July 2023

Nice to see some net play from Petra Martic who is getting after Iga Swiatek's second serve.

    It's working as well.

She plays the next point beautifully too as a sliding Iga Swiatek tries to collect her drop shot. The top seed nearly manages but is just wide.

Swiatek also stumbles on the next point but recovers really well to force a mistake from Martic - and it's with some relief that she holds serve.

  6. Another tie-break on court 12published at 19:05 British Summer Time 7 July 2023

    Rublev 6-3 6-7 (6-8) 6-6 Goffin

    BBC Sport at Wimbledon

The second set was decided by a tie-break and the third will be too. Whoever wins it will be 2-1 up in a race to three.

Rublev missed two set points in the second set before losing the tie-break and has just failed to convert two set points in the 12th game of the third set after getting to 15-40 on the Goffin serve.

  7. Broady holds servepublished at 19:05 British Summer Time 7 July 2023

    *Shapovalov 4-6 6-2 7-5 2-3 Broady

A superb forehand from Broady suggests he is not feeling any pressure here, working his way to another welcome hold of serve - and doing so without offering Shapovalov any unnecessary encouragement.

  8. 'Broady has to push through somehow'published at 19:02 British Summer Time 7 July 2023

Liam Broady has to be so intense here mentally. I know he's tired but he has to push through this somehow.

  9. Postpublished at 19:02 British Summer Time 7 July 2023

    *Swiatek 3-2 Martic

Any danger of a hold here?

Swiatek breaks back as the pair trade serves with Centre Court still half empty following that epic Murray match. I imagine many have gone to get a snack and/or drown their sorrows.

  10. Shapovalov holds servepublished at 19:02 British Summer Time 7 July 2023

    Shapovalov 4-6 6-2 7-5 2-2 Broady*

A wonderful backhand down the line brings Denis Shapovalov to 40-0 as the Canadian moves closer to another straightforward hold, confirmed with an ace after Liam Broady is able to get himself on to the scoreboard.

While Shapovalov continues to play like that, this is all about how long Broady can continue to hold his ground.

  11. Swiatek breaks againpublished at 19:00 British Summer Time 7 July 2023

    *Swiatek 3-2 Martic

World number two Aryna Sabalenka lacked a bit of rhythm in her opening set on Court One earlier but her partner at the top of the rankings is just starting to find hers.

Pressure once again on Petra Martic's serve and she flashes a backhand return winner down the line to bring up break point.

She finishes off with a nonchalant backhand smash to immediately move a break ahead again.

  12. Jabeur breaks early in second setpublished at 19:00 British Summer Time 7 July 2023

    *Jabeur 6-1 3-1 Bai

Ons Jabeur loves to entertain the crowd and not just with her tennis skills. She does some football keepy-uppies just before breaking Bai Zhuoxuan's opening service game in the second set.

The Tunisian races through her own service game before Bai, although not so easily, also holds.

  13. Broady holds servepublished at 18:57 British Summer Time 7 July 2023

    *Shapovalov 4-6 6-2 7-5 1-2 Broady

Liam Broady continues to dig in against Denis Shapovalov, battling back from 0-30 down to hold serve.

Chants of 'Let's go Liam, let's go' can be heard as the players take to their chairs at the change of ends.

  14. Swiatek broken backpublished at 18:57 British Summer Time 7 July 2023

    Swiatek 2-2 Martic*

Woah, Petra Martic packs some power.

Iga Swiatek is loose with her second serve and Martic goes round the ball and demolishes a forehand into the far corner to set up 0-30.

A minute later and she brings up another break point with some neat play at the net. This time she converts.

    Great response.

  15. Tsitsipas fights back to beat Murray in five setspublished at 18:55 British Summer Time 7 July 2023

    Murray 6-7 (3-7) 7-6 (7-2) 6-4 6-7 (3-7) 4-6 Tsitsipas

Earlier this evening, Greek fifth seed Stefanos Tsitsipas ended Andy Murray's hopes of a fine Wimbledon victory, on the 10th anniversary of his 2013 title, by coming back to win in five sets on Centre Court.

    Here's how he did it.

  16. Rublev's rollercoaster and Goffin's warningpublished at 18:53 British Summer Time 7 July 2023

    *Rublev 6-3 6-7 (6-8) 4-4 Goffin

    Michael Emons
    BBC Sport at Wimbledon

Out on court 12, Russia's seventh seed Andrey Rublev won the opening set, missed two set points and lost the tie-break in the second and was 4-1 behind and two breaks of serve down in the third against two-time quarter-finalist David Goffin.

But Rublev has won three games in a row, something which Goffin didn't react well to as he got himself a code violation warning for racquet abuse after smashing his racquet on the ground.

Back on serve in the third and we've already been going longer than two hours with plenty left in this one.

  17. Shapovalov holds servepublished at 18:53 British Summer Time 7 July 2023

    Shapovalov 4-6 6-2 7-5 1-1 Broady*

No such problems for Denis Shapovalov.

The Canadian makes light work of his service game, an ace clinching it to 15, and he'll look to pile further pressure on Liam Broady now as he seeks to end the Briton's stern resistance.

  18. Game and first set - Jabeurpublished at 18:52 British Summer Time 7 July 2023

    Jabeur 6-1 Bai*

That didn't take long. Ons Jabeur holds to love and wraps up the opening set, after just 24 minutes, with an ace.

  19. Swiatek breakspublished at 18:51 British Summer Time 7 July 2023

    *Swiatek 2-1 Martic

Ruthless efficiency from Iga Swiatek as she punishes a short Petra Martic return.

The world number one follows it up with a booming service return to bring up another break point.

A crafty lob catches Martic out and Swiatek gets the break.

Chance for the Centre Court punters to make their way back to their seats after the tumult of Andy Murray earlier.

  20. Broady saves break points to hold servepublished at 18:50 British Summer Time 7 July 2023

    *Shapovalov 4-6 6-2 7-5 0-1 Broady

Shapovalov is showing no signs of letting up as he proceeds to run riot on court two.

The 26th seed is showing his class here and sets up three break points as he looks to take charge of the fourth set, but Broady, urged on by the crowd, manages to fight back to deuce.

    Incredible effort!

The Briton refocuses, working his way through five straight points to end the run of games against him and hit the front in this must-win set.
