    *Rublev 3-3 Bublik

The pair are tussling in deuce.

    *Pegula 6-1 5-2 Tsurenko

Plenty more things not going Lesia Tsurenko's way - including another challenge - but she shrugs it off to hold and at least make Jess Pegula serve for the match.

    *Rublev 3-3 Bublik

Rublev dives to his right to reach a fast Bublik shot but doesn't do enough and Bublik puts away the ball with a clean forehand.

Next up in our feast of British action on court 12 is Liam Broady and Jonny O’Mara against Portugal’s Francisco Cabral and Rafael Matos.

This match started last night but they only managed to play two games before the rain set in.

This is a first-round match for the pair after Broady was knocked out of the singles event earlier this week.

Game, set and match - Dimitrovpublished at 14:00 British Summer Time 9 July 2023

    Tiafoe 2-6 3-6 2-6 Dimitrov

Nice and comfortable for Grigor Dimitrov, who wraps up his third-round match soon after the resumption to reach round four at the expense of 10th seed Frances Tiafoe.

It's sixth seed Holger Rune up next for the Bulgarian, who is seeded 21st for this event.

  6. Pegula holdspublished at 14:00 British Summer Time 9 July 2023

    Pegula 6-1 5-1 Tsurenko*

Lesia Tsurenko is cutting a frustrated figure and it's easy to understand why. Nothing she's tried has come off.

Even now, she probably figures she has nothing to lose at so far behind so goes for a couple of big shots that are just out - as Jess Pegula moves within one game of the quarter-finals.

  7. Bublik holdspublished at 13:59 British Summer Time 9 July 2023

    *Rublev 3-3 Bublik

Nothing much for the Centre Court crowd to get loud about yet...

Alexander Bublik, 26, holds utilising that strong serve which works well on grass.

There are a number of the really comfy green leather seats still available for the start of this one, with Centre Court about three-quarters full.

Bublik, 26, was born in Gatchina, Russia but changed citizenship from Russia to Kazakhstan seven years ago when he was 19, saying the Kazakhstan Tennis Federation had given him much more support than he had received from the Russian one.

So can Russia-born Bublik beat the Russian? He did two weeks ago in the final on grass over in Halle, Germany and will be looking for a repeat today.

  9. 'A relentlessness to Pegula'published at 13:56 British Summer Time 9 July 2023

    *Pegula 6-1 4-1 Tsurenko

    David Law
    Commentator on BBC TV

There is not the same kind of knock-out power of a Petra Kvitova or an Elena Rybakina but there is a relentless to Pegula's ball.

    Rublev 3-2 Bublik*

Andrey Rublev has settled quicker of the two out here on Centre Court right now.

The seventh seed holds to love and puts the pressure back on Alexander Bublik.

  11. Pegula up a double breakpublished at 13:55 British Summer Time 9 July 2023

    *Pegula 6-1 4-1 Tsurenko

Jessica Pegula has her own skincare company, you know.

And right now, she is absolutely creaming Lesia Tsurenko.

The world number 60 saves two break points but not the third and Pegula is up a double break just like she was in the first set.

  12. Bublik holdspublished at 13:54 British Summer Time 9 July 2023

    *Rublev 2-2 Bublik

Kazakh Alexander Bublik was 0-30 in this game as Andrey Rublev got stuck into some rallies which he came out on top of.

Then, Bublik turns his serve on.

Four strong serves in a row, one of them an ace, and he avoids facing a break point.

  13. 'Tsurenko having to work so hard'published at 13:52 British Summer Time 9 July 2023

    Pegula 6-1 3-1 Tsurenko*

    Johanna Konta
Former British number one on BBC TV

These Pegula service games have been quite discouraging for Tsurenko who has had to work so hard in the previous game.

She needs to get a few more balls back to make things harder for Pegula.

  14. Pegula holds to lovepublished at 13:51 British Summer Time 9 July 2023

    Pegula 6-1 3-1 Tsurenko*

It's going to be difficult for Lesia Tsurenko to find a route back into this match if Jessica Pegula keeps serving like that.

The Ukrainian can barely get a ball back in play as Pegula holds to love.

  15. Rublev holdspublished at 13:49 British Summer Time 9 July 2023

    Rublev 2-1 Bublik*

Seventh seed Andrey Rublev is seeking revenge for the defeat in the Halle Open final to Alexander Bublik two weeks ago.

The 25-year-old is ahead so far in the first set.

  16. 'Consistency the major improvement for Pegula'published at 13:49 British Summer Time 9 July 2023

    *Pegula 6-1 2-1 Tsurenko

    Johanna Konta
Former British number one on BBC TV

The major improvement for Pegula is that she has just become so consistent, to stay at such a high level.

But I think she knows there is still work to be done in this match - Pegula wouldn't for a second think this is a breeze by any means.

  17. Postpublished at 13:48 British Summer Time 9 July 2023

    Tiafoe 2-6 3-6 2-3 Dimitrov*

Grigor Dimitrov's third-round match against Frances Tiafoe is back under way on court two, with the Bulgarian two sets up and he's now got a break of serve in the third.

Might not be too much action left in that one.

  18. Postpublished at 13:48 British Summer Time 9 July 2023

    Pegula 6-1 2-1 Tsurenko*

Yet another comfortable hold for Jessica Pegula is followed by a rare routine one for Lesia Tsurenko, helped by a couple of wide forehands from the fourth seed.

But then even the Ukrainian was pushed to the limit in several rallies. She's beginning to get more of a foothold in these games but is still a set and a break down.

  19. Bublik holdspublished at 13:46 British Summer Time 9 July 2023

    *Rublev 1-1 Bublik

Drama-free start to this match as Alexander Bublik also holds without much challenge.

Both players are off the mark on Centre Court.

  20. 'This story is going to grow and grow'published at 13:44 British Summer Time 9 July 2023

A 16-year-old is into the second week of Wimbledon, this story is going to grow and grow and there is a standing ovation for Mirra Andreeva here.

She sits on her chair at the moment, her head buried in her towel. She has only played three tournaments at full level and she is into the last 16 at the age of 16. It is sensational.
